Very poor show from this challenger energy firm

Come on Symbio, you can surely do better than this.

Incredibly poor usability & clunky security even for such limited functionality.

I have two accounts - can’t see both, have to log out of one & in to the other.

My password is left on screen when a meter reading is being processed. No biometric login poss.

No validation message returned on submitting meter reading - don’t know if it’s gone thru & been accepted or just disappeared.

Billing info (@ £0) doesn’t make sense nor reflect usage or readings, so not sure what it’s supposed to be showing.

Doesn’t show previous meter readings to allow calculation of usage myself.

Trend graph of usage over time is far too much to expect, clearly.

In fact, doesn’t do or show much at all, so not sure if this has any relevance for me going forward.

Useless - just like Symbio !

App DOESN'T WORK AT ALL ! As anyone who has ever been foolish enough to sign up to them will know, Symbio are by a long long way the most inept, incompetent and most awful energy company in the market. They ask you to submit meter readings on a regular basis, yet their website and now also their app refuses to take them ! All clearly a scam just so they can ‘justify’ their scandalously high estimations, which just about guarantees that your bill will be three to four times what you signed up for. SURELY this sham of a company will be closed down by the regulator before very much longer ? I for one can’t wait as that is the only way I will ever be free of them - try leaving, that’s impossible too as they block your transfer citing no meter readings !!! A total sham of a company - don’t get sucked in by promises of cheap prices - you will pay several times what they quote !

Could easily be better

I’ve nothing against electricity customer apps being kept simple, but simplicity should make it easier for the developer to test it works on the platforms for which it is intended. I couldn’t even create a login account using the app as it did not allow a terms and conditions agreement box to be selected on my iPhone. Elsewhere buttons were not big enough to fit the text that should be readable and the heading of a login input field for email address was also not legible. I’m sure it wouldn’t take much to turn this into is a fully working app if, in particular, attention is paid to text sizes, but for now it is spoiled by the lack of a few simple fixes. At present, going to the website is less problematic.
