TakeNote Recorder is the iPhone companion to TakeNote.ai and requires a TakeNote account. You cannot use this app on its own.
TakeNote is used by FCA-regulated financial advice firms in the United Kingdom to record client meetings, transcribe them, and produce the documentation their compliance obligations require.
Record a meeting in two taps. Open the app, tap Record. A large panel, a running timer and a live waveform make it obvious to everyone in the room that a recording is in progress.
It keeps going when the room does. A phone call, a message, another app taking the microphone, a Bluetooth car kit connecting or disconnecting — the recording continues, and where iOS will not allow that, the app saves what it captured and offers to carry on with one tap. A four-hour meeting arrives in TakeNote as one recording, not as fragments.
Nothing leaves the iPhone until you say so. Every recording waits for you to name it and confirm the upload. Until then it stays on the device, and the app tells you plainly that it is waiting.
It survives what phones do. Recordings are written in segments as they go, so a flat battery or a forced close costs minutes rather than a meeting. When the app reopens it looks for anything left behind and offers it back to you.
Made for the way advisers actually work. Lock the phone and put it face down. Record on 4G and choose whether to upload now or wait for Wi-Fi. See at a glance what is still on the device and what has reached TakeNote.
Recordings are stored in your firm's TakeNote account. Audio is deleted from the iPhone once an upload is confirmed.
