Quickly create and upload pupil observations or statement assessments directly into Target Tracker for a simpler way to evidence progress and capture activities. Uploaded observations and associated notes, pupils and assessments will immediately be available to view in the Target Tracker Windows desktop application and can be further amended, merging three steps into one and saving time.

Simply use your existing Target Tracker login.

This is an excellent resource. It is a quick and simple way to record assessments and observations, which will not add to the workload of staff (really!!)
Can't wait for the parental link so we can share the on-going progress our children make.

More time consuming than other EYFS apps

The fact that photos can’t be taken within the app really adds time to my workload as I can’t complete the observations unless I have the tablet the photo was taken on to begin an observation. I don’t see how they can be added later from an iPad. It also makes it much more difficult than other similar apps to use to observe in the moment

It’s not workable if your setting uses iPads as you can’t see or edit observations. When you can see them (on another non apple device) they all look the same on the main observation screen whether they are complete or not.

The feature to add videos would greatly enhance this App also.

I prefer Early Essence and Tapestry. They are much easier and quicker to use when observing and much better for seeing which observations need updating and which are complete.

No to the update!

An excellent resource for every year group. As a reception teacher who was using tapestry and target tracker, it has halved my workload and made it easier to plan next steps.

Since the recent update, photos are automatically saved to the camera roll. With the changes in data protection, I preferred the old system where this didn't happen and once uploaded, the photos weren't visible on the device.please revert back to this system as it was far quicker and you still had the option of using the camera roll if you wished.

Finally, an added bonus feature would be the addition to upload video observations. This would make the evidence shared from home easier to assess and would remove the need to thoroughly transcribe what the children are saying. This would enable the practitioner to be more interactive as they would have more time to focus on the child's learning needs and next steps.

Overall, a few tweaks needed, but still a life saver.
