On paper this is great. Stick it on your 10 year olds wrist and you can stay in contact. Walked to school ok? Come in for dinner. Alert an emergency. It’s simple but effective. Only it’s not... updates are hours out. The majority of which was whilst our son was as less than half a mile up the road at a friends house. Even manually trying to update in the app brought no improvement. Testing the safe boundary whilst with our child did not come up even though we could validate the position exactly. We also had an instance where our son was in bed and then we received an alert to say he was outside the safe zone! In short whilst this seems well thought out and presented the actual technology is not quick enough to provide a parent confidence of where their child is. Instead of providing reassurance it creates confusion and uncertainty. We tested ours with the latest iOS on different apple phones (6s and 8 plus) over a combination of WiFi/3G/4G inside and outside. Restarting apps and handsets made no improvement. This is an item designed to monitor the safety of your child(ren) so it needs to work from day one. You can’t wait for ‘bedding in’. This may well improve over time but I’m not shelling out anymore cash until it does. We will unfortunately be returning the watch.

Using this with a Vodafone kids watch. Battery life is shocking and that’s only running with very basic functions. It doesn’t work with Google Maps which means I need two map apps on my phone. Seems to be quite a lot of lag in the system. On plus side my son finds it very easy to use so I’ll see how the develops and hopefully update my score.

You’ve labelled all the buttons correctly for voice over to identify them, however you have not coded it correctly to actually double tap the message icon and get through to the next page to actually send a message... if a notification is received you can get to the pages that the messages are in but you can’t play them or send one of your own. Very very poor.

Extremely limited effort has been put into the absolute basics of accessibility.

Come on now- we’re not in the dark ages. Coding your app to be fully accessible with voice over for blind users is a standard expectation snd one you need to deal with urgently.
