  • Simple app enjoyable to use

    QueenofthePotatoPeople

Great app, simple to navigate, always nutritional values including salt/sugar /fat/calories etc on all foods. Fantastic that u can individually select No Substitutes to each item as u reach checkout! ❤️ (Other stores don’t do this it’s all or nothing by mobile and u can’t even do that via an app either with some) Love that shopping with Tesco you get Reward vouchers toward ur shop, app lets you add these at checkout. Easy to amend your shopping list With a useful countdown so you know how long u have to update, after u purchase u can remind yourself the delivery time via app too. Love it saves your most often bought, and favourites lists which u can easily edit. Such a clean fresh looking app it’s not confusing and easy on the eye even a person not computer or mobile savvy could use this easily. (Again other apps are gawdy confusing and time u out during a shop or go out of stock with things in your basket a lot, but not this one ever!) So glad I changed to Tesco especially because of its App. I’m Dyslexic so I find it visually very easy to read too. Well done 👍🏻

  • In-Store Shopping List Bug Fix Required

    NicosStav

After using the Tesco app for online-orders over the last five years i can say it’s a very good app in this respect, however I recently started shopping In store again and as the app has a feature for an in-store list it seemed a no brainier to use it as it seemed quite useful to see product isle numbers as well as letting you check items off the list, however there are some terrible bugs and awful ease of use / efficiency limitations to it: 1) if using Tesco app with the same account across multiple devices (me and my wife share the account) the list does not sync correctly about 98% of the time and items disappear. 2) you can not use favourite items to populate it, this is a major flaw as it takes ages to then type the products in and search for them. 3) if a product goes out of stock it will disappear from the shopping list rather than display an out of stock warning. As a long time customer I think if these issues can be fixed and the user experience of the in-store list enhanced it would be a real game changer! For now its just a bit of an after thought gimmick that can’t be used practically as it is completely unreliable. Please fix the above issues and it will help to not loose any sales of all the items that drop off the list and also make sure us customers will missing critical ingredients for our dinner!

  • Glitchy experience

    CustomerJ2018

I think the search function works pretty well, but the customer journey is odd in terms of when you are prompted to reserve a slot before you’ve filled your basket. There are bounce outs when you want to change from Delivery to Click and Collect, and you are forced to ‘try’ click and collect to move to the next step. The app does seem a bit ‘buggy’ and my first experience resulted in waiting in for a delivery slot, only to be told 10 minutes into the hour that the ‘order has been cancelled due to a technical fault’... the messaging around when you can reorder is confusing (and you can’t select the ‘cancelled’ order to reorder automatically)... a £10 voucher discount was given, which is a bonus, but it doesn’t build too much confidence that your ordered items will be fulfilled on time if you are relying on items to a deadline. There is a disappointing gap between what you can do on ‘my account’ in the app versus having to log in to the main site (e.g. to manage addresses) and even when you do that, there is a lost link if you leave my account to look at club card... you can’t get back directly to where you left my account (and I cannot see for certain that my club card details are linked properly to my grocery account. The app could benefit from some thoughtful reviews of the entire customer journey from browse to purchase through to reliable fulfilment.

  • Eliminate 'Want to buy this?', switch to better UX/UI on delivery orders

    Conseils d'amie

Dear app-development & sales / marketing teams : Well done with Online vs In-Store, as well as In-Store stock! Downside? As of last app-update, major glitches with Delivery amendments. (Yes, I know I have to save order changes!) When attempting to amend an order, there are so many distracting 'Can we tempt you with this offer?' popups, not to mention app-glitches, that the system often overloads & amendments (including Substitutions Allowed or Not Allowed, which is a medical / accessibility concern) are frequently not saved. If the app is going to function with these irregularities, an automatic email notification should be sent after a certain time, informing that amendments were not saved, so that customers know to at least try (!) to be successful. As it is now, despite saving changes, & with no error-notification to email, I scheduled delivery for a £22 order that would have been around £55, had the app functioned better. To function better, have sales / marketing team actively collaborate with app-developers to help make sure marketing prompts don't detract from basic performance. This teamwork clearly not happening enough to function properly, as things stand now. Hope that makes sense! Cheers for the good bits! All the best, from someone with longtime PR & UX/UI background

  • A dysfunctional app for ordering potatoes to be delivered to your home

    LindsayFortyKay

Honestly the only thing that needs to change is the periodic demand you answer ‘LOVE OUR APP?’ with YES or NO, and the easy facility to cancel an order. I just want to press a button that summons a man to deliver potatoes to my house in exchange for currency. Three stars as I appreciate his trouble and I appreciate that my debit card details haven’t yet been hacked. Four stars as it now tells you when your potatoes are about to be delivered. Five stars as the man once forgot to hand over some of my potatoes and the app enabled the call centre to call him and tell him to turn around and give me the rest of my potatoes. But I’m not going to profess my love for an app. I wouldn’t say that I love the man who delivers my potatoes, and I wouldn’t say that I love the app that processes my purchase without a Finnish teenager stealing my bank details. Sometimes it’s a woman who delivers my potatoes, it’s good to know Tesco aren’t sexist any more, they used to have shelves for boys potatoes and girls potatoes and I’m glad that’s wait that was toys. One star because an order was placed in error and there is no apparent way to cancel it and despite multiple attempts to postpone the order - each attempt apparently succeeding - the order is still coming, wasting my time and the driver’s time and costing me money.

I am a regular customer with Tesco online shopping and I like shopping at Tesco as I like the products and the prices but I gave 4stars that is because I found it difficult to add my coupons and my Tesco club card points , I did tried endlessly but it either asking me to download another application or it says call a number given by the site. I am looking forwards to see Tesco works on this issue so that we can add our coupons and points easily without leaving them until it expires. Also I have noticed that the driver is not putting my shoppings in carry bags as I am paying 40ps for them but for example last time the driver has used only 4 of red freezer bags for my shoppings BUT she used them one of them she mixed apples with chicken and the other one she used it for mixing my cheese blocks with chicken which us a horrible thing to see my fresh meet to be put with cheese as we all knows raw chickens and meets should be isolated from fresh foods as they can be a source of transmitting germs and bacterias , the other one she has put the washing up liquid in it hhhhhh. We need to receive our shoppings in a more organised way rather than mixed up in a risky way. Thanks with regards

  • Need more time on the shopping

    Mad to be here

On line shopping app, when i am shopping and i have booked my delivery slot up pops a message saying you must complete your order in an allocated time, i do not wish to feel pressured in that way if i secured the spot then that’s mine, its not as though its free you have to spend £40 in the first place, i feel the time allocated should be much longer, also the offers should be popping according to what you are likely to have purchased , surely in this day and age Tesco must monitor shoppers preferences, yes it ok to bring new things to the for front, this app I haven’t really fully got used to, but in comparison its ok, speed of loading items is good, but their must be some glitches, as i have noticed items in my basket i did not choose or want, also i am hoping that the pickers who pick look at the notes left by us, as if i was a picker i would do my upmost to please the customer, not just put a poor quality substitute should the item required not be in stock. Anyhow i will monitor this Tesco app and feedback further, lets see how this delivery goes I’ve spent more than i wanted , now all i do is check how many substitutions i may have

  • Intuitive and informative

    Tremblyseren

Of all the online shopping apps, this one wins for me. It’s easy to use and clear to see the items/menus/trolley etc. It is also fantastic that all allergens are listed as we have young family members who really need this. What’s more, you can type in eg. ‘Cereal’ and refine the search by lifestyle/dirty requirements. So we can check the ‘no gluten’ box and get items ideal for our young Coeliac! You can now click on a photo and zoom in for more detail. You can create a ‘usuals’ shopping basket to mass load into your trolley which saves so much time. The only slight cons (which don’t even reduce the rating by one star) is that if you try to delete items off your usuals list, it can take several seconds for the change to take effect. This is fine if it’s just one or two items, but if you’re having a mass cull of items, it’s an infuriatingly long process. It would be good to have an ‘edit’ function where you can highlight all items you don’t want anymore then delete them in one click en masse. Other than that, this app is so much more intuitive and informative than all over online grocery apps I’ve come across.

  • Clubcard support is awful

    Si72UK

    1) There is nowhere in the app to add Clubcard to Apple Wallet like there is in the Clubcard app you’re about to retire. 2) Would like the option to make my Clubcard tab my default page when launching the app as I don’t use Online shopping or any other features of the app. I have only downloaded it because you are retiring the Clubcard app, which is far better for people who just use the Clubcard. 3) Currently every operation takes one more click and no option to go directly to Vouchers as in previous app. This is inconvenient when at the till as you have to click Clubcard and then start scrolling. Very annoying. The old app was much much better for Clubcard users. Very disappointed with your decision to retire it. 4) I don’t always get internet connection in my local Tesco store, so cannot access Clubcard vouchers at the tell. I just get “Something went wrong” errors plastered all over the screen. The old Clubcard app let you access your vouchers regardless. 5) As I’m so annoyed with having to use this awful app for Clubcard, I’m going to criticise the animation of the current Clubcard balance. The numbers roll nicely but not to the correct number. Instead they finish scrolling and then just jump to the correct number. Looks rubbish!!

  • Incredibly terrible app

    Filmbuff28

We noticed a few times that items that I had ordered hadn’t arrived but when checking back on the receipt they just weren’t on the order, I have to be honest I felt like I was losing the plot. Yesterday a bunch of things didn’t come that I expected so my husband who works as a QA had a play about and we realised that online using browser on a PC, it was showing maybe 5 items unavailable and suggesting alternatives, whilst on the app it is only showing 2?! Then when I proceed to checkout in the app, the 3 items that showed on his unavailable and not on mine had simply disappeared without a trace. Wholly unacceptable. It’s like being gaslit by a supermarket chain! I also believe that you could learn some things from the Morrison’s app, being able to ‘unfavourite’ items would be great, sometimes you try something and it is horrid. I don’t need to be seeing it as a suggestion anymore thanks. You should also be able to see receipts on the app, not a list of items I ordered. I want to see what was substituted etc on my app, I shouldn’t have to wait for an email with details, this causes issues when neither you nor the driver knowing what is missing/subbed. Pull yourself together Tesco, you’re a major company in the year 2022.
