Tesla 4+

- need to make sure that when the car software update is applied, the Tesla app update is also applied. I had problems connecting to the car after the last update to the car software, and for some reason the Tesla app was not automatically updated, I had to go to the App Store and search for it and press update.
-there is a discussion on Reddit about a method of adding a fifth shortcut in the app, but I have been unable to go beyond for shortcuts… Maybe we could have a second row?
-The schedule charging feature has a start time but not a finish time. I am using octopus go as my energy supplier… Cheap electricity between 0030 and 0430… I want the Tesla app scheduled charging to only operate during that time -I do not want to have to physically go to the car in cold weather to adjust the settings-they should all be available from the app.
Hyphen it would be nice to store a Favourites in the schedule charging. For example the cheap overnight electricity option that I mentioned, but also a schedule that allows me to top up for 2 to 3 hours and then stop-it would be better to be able to store a Favourites and share those with my partner who has the app pointing to the same car.

This is generally a good app but the quality of the app for a car you get mainly for its software is embarrassing. For instance, wall connector schedule is stuck currently at random internal which I didn’t set. I have no way of changing it through the app. Tesla CS confirmed that there is an app wide issue.

Besides these quality issues, some very key features are missing. For example, I really would like to be able to view sentry mode / dashcam footage from the app, and manage those. Also, I should be able to manage real time notification sensitivity for sentry mode events.

This app has long way to go and I hope Tesla spends its time to make this better as this app impacts the customer experience directly!

With the September update, Tesla have turned a very intuitive and useful app into a unclear jumble of pages. The most important aspect (current charge) is hidden away and no longer prominent. Overlays have been removed, and as others point out the app now often stops reporting data part way through the day. Fortunately I did not update the app on one of our devices, so I can get the current status from that. The new interface cannot claim to be ‘new and modern’ as it doesn’t even support the ability to work landscape. The screens are all badly laid out, and don’t fit in a page so you need to scroll and search to find information which was previously instantly viewable. Hopefully Tesla will listen to all their customers and either revert to the original format or correct the numerous failings of this un-necessary and it seems untested update. Maybe they should also pilot releases to gain feedback. If I were a new customer I would think their great product was let down by a bad app, however as an existing customer I know they have done better.
