Test Routes 4+

Good, but needs some work

I bought this to practice some routes with my daughter to supplement her lessons with an instructor. So far we have tried two test centres (as she failed her first test), both centres had 2 out of 8 routes that would not work/load. It’s worth noting that some routes need an instructor in a dual controlled car (because they take you on motorways). Don't follow the app blindly, as a couple of the routes navigated us to take a prohibited right turn (thankfully we noticed and were rerouted). The developer responds quickly to any queries when you make contact, so I am sure these niggles will be resolved and then I would give this app 4 stars - not 5* because the satnav is not as easy to follow as Waze or TomTom.

Good app however only able to view the route at test center

Pro:1. my test center (wyndly in Birmingham) is a temporary test center, I have tried another app however it doesn’t has my test center. This app dose!!! It gives me 10 test routes
2. Recording the routes I drove on.

Con: 1. It not allow me to check the test routes 10 miters away from the test parking bays. I wish to check the routes at home, unfortunately I found I can’t.
2. The recording function is useless, it not accurate on the map. I have to use another app to recording the routes I took.

Appreciate your review. We have designed the app so learners have an actual test route experience hence all routes starting from DTC’s… We appreciate some users may want to sit at home and view routes but this is not our USP. We believe we have a responsibility to improve and help with safe driving in UK, hence designing the app to be as practical as much as possible. The tracking of the route will improve on the next update. Best of luck.

Very good

After an initial problem not being to access the routes after paying I emailed the app developer , they replied in minutes and rectified the issue ( which was actually an AppStore problem ) so their customer service is superb! The routes navigation is clear and easy to follow ( I preferred it without the sound and sat next to my son to mimic the examiner) . I would give it 5 starts if all the routes had speed limits on ( sometimes if you are in an unfamiliar area it can be difficult to tell ) . Great for practising and getting to know the routes prior to your actual test .
