Text Editor‪.‬ 4+

Several simple Text Editors have instituted charges, which sadly for me, forced me to look elsewhere, but then be pleasantly surprised by finding this gem to take their place, as my use is so minimal that any charge is expensive, naturally in my earlier years the use of a fully featured Word Processor was a justifiable expense, hopefully my praise of its simplicity will at least encourage others to follow, and go some way to justify the Author’s labours.

I downloaded this because it appeared to have good ratings. But it’s a 99p a week subscription service.
Sorry, I’ve been buying, writing, and selling software for 50 years.

If this product were to meet my needs I might well still be using it in 10 years time (God willing; I’m no spring chicken, obviously).

Would it be good value at £520 less a tad?

Don’t be bloody ridiculous.

In fact on reflection this is so outrageous that I have written to Apple and to Trading Standards. Nobody needs to pay this much for the functionality offered, yet I fear some people will get sucked in by the 3 day trial, only to fall foul of the subscription.
Let’s put this into context. £5.99 a month buys you a basic subscription to Netflix, FFS.

This may seem a harsh judgement on someone or some people who may well have produced a good piece of software and wish to be remunerated for it.

But the reality is that you or whoever is calling your marketing shots is trying to rip people off.

p.s. I found a freeware editor with more than sufficient functionality for my needs. I will of course donate to the author.

Though there are only less than 10 reviews , it seems to be a good app to make menus hahahah, hope it could go better
