Not Great

Pretty rubbish. Ticket has started activating upon the opening of the app which is rubbish considering it only lasts for an hour. There’s also an odd problem upon activation of the ticket - the screen brightness jumps up to the maximum, this then drains the battery. Clunky and outdated.

Awesome boats, awful app

Being a regular Thames Clipper commuter, I was really hoping that Uber would use their excellent technology and overhaul this app. To date this hasn’t happened which means the app continues to be next to useless. The live departures are all over the place making needlessly long waits or missed boats a regular occurrence. Timetables are a click out to a website making and during lockdown weren’t even accurate. For £7 a ride, I cannot believe that the basics aren’t covered which you can easily get travelling on both train and bus for a fraction of the price. Please, please, please sort this out.

Works perfectly

Way more reliable than it used to be! It would be great to have a ‘live departures’ board for your favourite pier on the home screen, so you can easily see when the next boat is coming just by opening the app, but aside from that, it’s pretty good now.
