THAT ADVENT PUPPET CALENDAR
Join in with Mella, a school’s drama teacher tasked with this year’s Christmas play, to discover a nativity that wasn’t the Christmas story she thought she knew!! “How frustrating!”
Open a door each day during Advent as it becomes unlocked, with this entertaining and educational Christian countdown to Christmas!
The story, set in “St Peter’s In the Water Primary School”, (located in the small English village of Little Puddle on the River Piddle) is about drama teacher Mella, who’s trying to organise a nativity play for the new head master whom no-one’s seen yet, but who has requested a ‘Biblically accurate’ nativity for this year. “What was wrong with the aliens in last year’s?” is Mella’s first question.
The school is made up of various characters, like Mr Snow the science teacher, Miss Aimee Les Enfants the French teacher and many more. And we should not forget Mrs Dorothy Furkins, who as school secretary, holds most things together. She also vlogs regularly on Facebook from home, school, holidays - anywhere she can get an internet connection - even from a glacier! She’s quite a woman ... if you can believe all the trophies she has on her shelf!
The story is full of misadventures through Advent, as we see how the puppet teachers cope along the way with Mella’s panic and frustration. Learning from the experience of last year’s pilot calendar and website, we have added more features and many extras for you to enjoy. See if you can work out what Mr Knowles the caretaker is really up to! And where has Dorothy, our intrepid school secretary, been vlogging from this year - the other side of the world?
We’ve received positive feedback from all ages - from a 4 year old who watched three episodes again and again as he couldn’t watch the next day’s yet, a 15 year old who surprised us by his enthusiasm, all the way to a 70 year old who said he loved the humour in it. So download now to see the trailer which will give you a taste of what’s to come from December 1st. Our aim is to provide a free, friendly, funny and informative way for your family to enjoy the period of Advent this year!
Latest updates, behind the scenes and Dorothy’s vlogging are on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/ThatAdventPuppetCalendar’ or type “That Advent Puppet Calendar” into Facebook.
Discover more about the school and all the staff on their own website ‘www.st-peters-in-the-water.uk’ or just type ‘st peters in the water’ into an internet search engine.
Next year we will launch an ‘all new’ calendar with a new adventure! See how the school copes with a ‘surprise’ inspection, what Mr Knowles is up to in his ‘secret’ lair, and how it feels to be a new pupil at the school.

Ratings and Reviews
Typical English primary school antics following the story of the drama teacher who keeps finding out she’s got the wrong idea about the nativity story. Very muppets in places as things go on in the background. I’ve got friends of 50 enjoying this! Well produced for something that’s free!
Our Children love the clips!
All I can say is my 6 year old son and 3 year Old daughter is loving the daily puppet clips! Watching them over and over going back to previous days they enjoy as well!
Fantastic addition to the daily chocolates
A good load of fun! Adding to the Christmas countdown, now it’s advent chocolate and puppets each day! Didn’t expect that at the start of the year! But thoroughly enjoying myself non the less!
