The inability to get rid of the ads is ruining the experience

Numerous times recently I’ve been unable to close an advertisement appearing on my screen before finding out if my answer to the Question of the Day is correct. As a result, I’m having to close the app down and then upon returning to it I don’t find out the answer. It’s infuriating. Add to that the advertisements getting stuck on my screen whilst I’m playing games of the week, meaning I can no longer play a number of the games. I try so hard to avoid giving poor reviews and I’ve been a huge fan of this show since the first episode, but I’m really tired of the ads ruining my enjoyment of the app now.

Most of the time good. But right answer comes up wrong…

Most of the time the game is good. My mum, sister and I play the game daily and share our results in a chat. Numerous times, we have found the app will grant 2 of us the correct answer, but the 3rd person, despite writing the same thing, will get a wrong answer. The last case of this was yesterday (2/3/24) where it was to select which stencil would not be used for a pattern, so selecting rather than writing an answer. We all selected box ‘C’ however it told me I was wrong and my mum and sister were correct? The explanation was the same on both our screens too, but written incorrectly. We screenshot the result and shared it with each other, you can see the same answer being shown correct for one and incorrect for the other 🤦🏻‍♀️ Very frustrating.

Too many ads

I do enjoy some aspects of this app and I like playing along with the tv show even though it isn’t completely in sync, it’s still fun. However this evening whilst playing the daily question after answering I encountered an ad that was in a foreign language and no X appeared to get rid of it and I didn’t want to press anything else because I wasn’t interested in purchasing a Honda. The second thing that upset me was, I gave an answer ‘one per cent club’ and it marked me as incorrect, the answer was apparently ‘one percent club’. In the uk both are used but the two-word spelling is most common, while the one-word spelling is preferred in the USA. Clearly in the UK to use this app, please don’t spell colour this way, as it will be incorrect, spell it color, as clearly UK spellings are not accepted.

Also too many ads now.
