Love the app. Best app for sports news but found a bug

Firstly, this app is worthy of a 5 ⭐️rating. Content is amazing, really informative, best in the business. Use the app every day for keeping up to date with US sport. However, found a UI bug that is preventing user selected input on “Stories” & “Game Results” in Preferences and Alerts for leagues and teams followed within the app. I have some teams and leagues I follow that I want to keep following however, I don’t want to receive game results or breaking news. Only way I have found around this is to unfollow the league or team which I don’t want to do. The support received was less than helpful. I have a video and a screenshot of the error I keep receiving which I have supplied to support which I don’t think they have watched so don’t understand the issue. They keep directing me to settings on the web app that would not affect push notifications on my iPhone. I am aware of other users having the same issue. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Best sports app

I am a football and NFL fan and this app is hands down the best for regular news updates about my teams and about the leagues in general. On game days you can view live scores and in game stats about players and everything in between. Furthermore, the best part about the app imo is how you can follow your teams, leagues and cups, and view news about each specific area at any one time and read through news articles about them seamlessly. Every sport has its own writers who post regular content and articles all a mixture of facts and opinions - the articles are written in such depth, with stats about games and players from past seasons/games for every match up. Also it includes betting odds - which I don’t do but can be useful for some people. Overall I would 100% recommend this app for any sports fan who loves staying up to date with their favourite teams and their chosen sports.

Genuinly worth the price!

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt compelled for The Athletic. As an English Arizona Cardinals fan, easy-to-access high-quality articles written by journalists who know their stuff is hard to come by. The Athletic has completely solved all this; I got offered a 60% discount with a free trial and after four days found myself paying the $24 early - absolutely phenomenal value! What I love about the articles is that they’re not just limited to one team or one sport but every major sport and every major team, including college which makes it great for someone starting to follow the Longhorns.

With something like this you always expect a downside; however, with the Athletic I’m yet to find one. The app is truly amazing: easy to use and navigate with helpful feature like save and ‘read’ icons, as well as a scores tab and the ability to listen to podcasts within the app.

My only gripe would be that I would love to be able to customise ‘your feed’ to be just strictly about the teams I follow and nothing else, so that I have a centralised place to read all about my teams, as well as singular team feeds.

Apart from that, I couldn’t be more excited to read more on The Athletic as it is truly one-of-a-kind; keep going guys and keep up the excellent work!
