Description

The fire safety scheme addresses the challenge for knowing how safe a building is
by providing the public with a fire safety star rating, viewed both on line and at
the entrance of a building, just look for the trade marked logo on the annually
renewable window sticker!

The scheme works by providing the assessor with a standard assessment
application. Imbedded technologies provide a “what to look for guide”, ability to
upload building plans, photographs, complete with an electronic mark up
functionality. Check any product against “known product recall list”, electronic
access to the action register and automatic notifications for any overdue actions.
The report is independently reviewed by Chartered Fire Engineers, registrants
with the IFE.

Within 21 days of the assessment details are listed on a publicly accessible
webpage, which also provides the public a means to report any fire safety
violation, which will be investigated to drive fire safety compliance.
The fire risk assessment is held on a national database, exclusive access to the
fire and rescue service.
