With the Lay-Z-Spa WiFi App, we’ve made it possible to control your spa from anywhere. All you need to do is sync your spa pump with your home WiFi and then you can control the following functions from anywhere!

Turn your spa on and off

- In a hurry? Don’t stress, you can turn your hot tub on and off from anywhere.

Adjust the water temperature

- Find out your hot tub’s current temperature and select your desired temperature so its ready when you are.

Use the timer to suit your schedule

- When you’ve got a busy day ahead, use your timer to set your hot tub so it’s ready for when you get home.

Voice control

- Too relaxed to move? Use your voice to control all aspects of your hot tub. Compatible with most virtual home assistants.

I love it wow ,

Only works at home

Only works at home which is helpful to an extent as others have said, but I wanted to be able to use the app so the water was warm for when I get home. You can set the timer by guesstimating how long it will take to heat but in real life you don’t or can’t always plan ahead so this is disappointing. Yesterday when I got home from work the pump/heater unit was dead. It seemed to have automatically cut out with the surge protector. Maybe because we use an extension or maybe because the weather was exceptionally hot in the UK yesterday (35 degrees). The app also seemed to have frozen so I removed it thinking reloading it would help. Unfortunately I can’t remember by password (my fault I know). But after several password reset requests via the app, I still haven’t had an email to reset my password so I’m now without the app completely. I'll have to try to contact Lay-Z-Spa another way. Frustrating.

Fantastic app compared to the us version .......

13 July 2021 that’s the server offline AGAIN pity those millions in profit during Covid didn’t end up having a few K£ spent on the server . That’s two days in a row I’ve come out to no hot tub on with my 2 daily schedules . As usual , the US app works Even when the server was restored the last time after being off months I still had to create a new account under a different email address to get it working . This is an old problem and seems to be some sort of database glitch I suspect with the primary index and WiFi ssid. For a time I seemed to be linked to someone else’s hot tub . Mmm GDpR issue ! Again , the US Bestway app worked today when I re installed it Not going to bother logging another call that was painful being asked to send photos of my pump to fix a back end server issue :) My next hot tub will not be Bestway ——————— Server was down (for me) for a month but it seems to be running again. Note - when an issue like this happens you either need to get their support to delete your account or set up a new account with a different email address . Someone needs to have a look at the database and app server to see what the issue where some sort of corruption at the server end will not allow an account to connect .

Works Great For Me

Lay-Z-Spa Wi-Fi App

After setting up an account Initially I couldn’t even log in on the App, I had “auto filled” the details from my iPad passwords to no avail so instead I cut and re-pasted the password and then I got to the next step. For the first week and after many daily attempts I couldn’t link the App/Spa to my router (I even had the Singapore pump beside my router on the first day)

Today after failing miserably for a week to connect I tried something different.. After logging in and going through all the steps when the App was trying to connect to the spa (which can take an age) I re-pressed the Wi-Fi button on the pump and it went from slow flashing red to solid red then after a minute it connected.. Hallelujah.

Now when I open the App it logs in automatically and goes straight to “we’re just getting your spa status” page where all the spa controls are. I then enabled the Lay Z Spa skill on my Alexa and everything was in place and the commands were all working.

I initially had my doubts after reading all the 1 star reviews.. but it’s working for me and it’s impressive.. so far!

PS ~ The App also successfully worked on Wi-Fi away from home..

A widget for the iPad would be a good future addition.
