The League: Intelligent Dating 17+

For a dating app that’s motto is to designed for “overly ambitious people” hosting League Live at 5pm is criminal. No one who is overly ambitious finishes work at 5pm. The average workday finishes at 6 in the UK and that’s before overtime.

Secondly having to pay to restrict age range is ridiculous! I’m 25 and want to get married and have kids soon. Im sorry but no 23 year old man feels the same - I don’t want to date 22 year olds. Why are you monetising something like that is so basic? It just shows you lack the desire to actually make good matches for the people using your app.

As for the age restriction, Guests minimum age Preference is at least 3 years younger and the maximum is at least 3 years older. So the app takes a frustratingly long time to accept you as a member. This is to try and filter you out and make sure you are a top prospect. However there seems to be a huge imbalance as the prospects that are sent to me either live miles away or are simply not what I would call elite. They other problem is they try to push the ladies who look like models - ultimately who will be out of my league so there is a massive mismatch. They only send three prospects per day. This just doesn’t work. It might if they were local, had similar interests etc then perhaps. Additionally women don’t tend to search for men. They set up the profile and sit back whilst hundreds of messages reach them from men and they take their pick. So like all apps this one is also flawed.

Then there is the big one. In order to do anything with this app (navigation is not intuitive) then be prepared to hit the big money. However if your going to spend this k d of money you are better off joining an elite dating agency who will be so much better in actively searching and arranging by dates with people who will be a good match.

The idea behind this app is good but the people on it can be found on tinder and bumble. Certainly not the app and quality of people it portrays. A real shame.

Hi Rick762 - Thank you for your review. All Memberships and in-app purchases are entirely optional. The Waitlist is designed to encourage users to complete their Profile. The system, and the Drafting Team, look for Profiles with six photos, completed About Me and Interest sections, and one social media platform verified. Users on the Waitlist with completed Profiles can email support@theleague.com to have their Profile expedited to the Drafting Team. Regarding Prospects, a user's Preferences and location affect how many local users are available for the system to place into their Daily Batches. If you would like an agent to look into your account and offer suggestions on how you may have more local Prospects or Prospects with similar interests, don't hesitate to contact Support. Thank you.

Had an extremely uneasy feeling about the app from first download to one week later. The look and feel is equivalent to something a second year college student might be able to whip up. Not shoddy but not slick. It’s convenient you either have to pay £300 or enter ALL of your social media logins to ‘skip the queue’. I avoided adding all of my logins and I was proceeding through the 84,000 strong queue at roughly 200 places a day. This would’ve taken 14 months. I added all of my logins and ✨surprise✨ I was granted access within 2 days. The matches are a little too good to be true. And sure enough, you get responses that are suspiciously bot-like. This feels like a rouse to get your data. Even the App Store reviews are 1-star or 5-star, with the latter all being very generic and easily faked. What did it for me was how difficult it was to unlink your socials and delete your profile - the ‘delete your profile’ option shows your data is just ‘archived’ not deleted. Passwords and emails changed on all socials. Do not trust.

Users can delete their Profile at any time by going to Settings -> Delete Account.
