Description

The Lord Mayor's Show is 803 years old this year. It is the oldest, longest and most popular civic procession in the world, filling the whole City of London and attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators every year.

This is the official app for the Show. It is your guide to the procession and the day. It uses your location and a series of procession beacons to tell you who is who as they pass by and show the whole procession on a map. It can show you good places to watch from and suggest attractions to visit in between the main events of the day. It also provides background and historical information about the Show and shows lots of interesting and useful places nearby including tube stations, toilets and first-aiders.

We use your GPS location to support several of these services, including the live procession guide and if necessary, locally-targeted warning messages. Please be aware that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Crashes a lot

Crashes a lot and such things as scrolling will revert back to home page and pinch and zoom takes you to a different place to which you were trying to zoom.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the review. The 2015 app had a couple of nasty issues that we fixed but just a bit too late. Must have been annoying and I'm sorry about that. More recent versions are stable and useful, and a bit less ambitious! We hope you'll try it again some time.

Buggy

Keeps jumping back to main screen..... looks like it contains lots of interesting information, but unable to read it because of the bugs.

Developer Response ,

We are sorry you had a bad time with the app. We haven't seen it jump back to the main screen like that but we'll investigate carefully before next year. And yes, there is a lot of interesting information in there.

Poor show.

The app doesn’t even have the information on the procession participants that is available in the programme. Poor show.

Developer Response ,

The processional programme is published separately and participants present themselves through the Show's app so yes, I'm afraid you're right. Ours are live, at least, but there were people this year for whom we could only give you a name. We will work everyone a lot harder on the listings next year!
