I understood very little of gold, it was on the telly, annoyingly and I had noticed this app in the store trending, so I thought I'd check it out, besides the sweet as candy beautiful UI, I actually ended up following most of the first round from the iPad and.... I got it! So now I guess I don't mind golf! This must be a "gateway app" lol because I got quite hooked on watching players moving around the course and seeing the leader change every few minutes early on, very fun. All sports apps should be like this, we can't all go to he real thing you know! kudos The Open!!!

Disappointed because I started trying trying to find tee times for particular players. There is no search facility to track down individual players, get tee times, scores let alone their position on course. Thanks to developers' response I have been told that search facility is available via favourites leaderboard. Knowing that the developers are on the ball may I suggest that for the benefit if those on the course the colour of the caddie's bib is provided to help us spot "our man"

This is a great app that is well designed and no annoying banner ads which is such a refreshing change but wouldn't expect less from the R&A( well maybe letting ladies into Muirfield clubhouse etc! Can even watch the coverage although I am in the UK. Love the Rolex clock with the sweeping hands. Easy to use and great way to keep a watch over the golf. Thanks dev's.

I thought for a leaderboard app, almost 60MB was a bit much but it's so much more than that. The creators have done a really great job in putting this together. There's so much info on the course and players. Would be good if the tee times were rolling so that the next players to tee off were at the top of the list. Top notch for a free app.

- The 3d interface for shot tracking is downright awful. Laggy, hard to control zoom, can’t control orientation. Rubbish.- Why can’t I see a players stats properly, as in 8/9 fairways today. What good is a percentage? I have to do math on the fly to get a greens hit ratio. Just tell me, 6/9 fairways. - Having a favourites leaderboard in separate view is a pain. It used to pull them to the top of the same view. Much more useful.

Excellent coverage to appreciate every shot hit by three professionals, rather than edited highlights showing only the best shots, seeing the pros struggling recovering and getting the ball up and down is a sheer delight. This is how golf should be enjoyed. Wonderful.
