This is my first review for the iPhone: I had to come here and write, because I'm thrilled. I bought quite a few games for the iPhone, with high-end graphics or animation, and good 3D. But not one came close in my mind to this one. Sure, the graphics look old, and the controls are a bit quirky at first and take a (little) while toget used to, but who cares for this kind of game? You'll get everything an old-school RPG fan can hope for. If you remember with nostalgia classics like Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder or Bard's Tale, and/or you're a fan of modern RPG like Oblivion or Gothic, Neverwinter Nights and the like, you'll absolutely love this one. It has interesting quests, character progression and variety, and the depth and length you love from this kind of game. And best of all, you can keep it in your pocket at all time. A definite must have if you like this kind of games. If not, don't bother.

If only we could have more RPG's like this. A totally massive and immersive world you are free to explore as you choose, great character customization and development, a long main quest as well as dozens of side quests, Hours and hours AND HOURS of gameplay, definate replay value and there's already 3 expansions. Plus, despite the fact this was first released nearly 9 months ago, there was an update only a few days ago. Now that's looking after your customers my friends.Seriously. What more could a roleplay fan ask for?If you enjoyed old school RPG's like The Bards Tale series, Might and Magic and Alternate Reality as well as new "Western" style roleplays like the Elder Scrolls series purchase this now and don't look back.You won't regret it.

Finaly, a REAL role playing experiance, it reminds me a lot of old Dungeons & Dragons games, but with much better graphics, the controls are classic rpg controles, ignor the guy complaining (he's obviously never played classic RPG's). GameplayAn excellent example of free roam rpg's on the iPhone, you are given a lot of freedom to actually be able to role play your character, be really nice, really evil, or just be yourself... How you play is up to you really.ControlesA reconstruction of the classic first person dungeon crawlers of my youth, they feel very natural on the touch screen but sometimes I do wish they was a little bigger. GraphicsNot really 3D, but for most part they are really good and the game runs at a good frame rate through out. SoundIt's got some nice music to it, very interesting in some places, I just wish they had been a little more bold with the sound effects. StoryJust like in the good old days, you get a basic story intro and then your left to make the rest of the story yourself, you play your character and do what you want to do, the story works around you. Final VerdictBrilliant retro RPG, this is how games should be done, well worth the money and time.

This new version offers much improved gamplay, hidden in the settings menu is the option to turn up the speed of movement and battles. This means the previous tortuously slow movement around the gameworld has all but been eliminated. The Quest offers a great "traditional" rpg that is fun if you don;t mind wasting time, it offers the usual array of weapons, magic levelling up and turn based fighting but it has some great mini quests, some nice humour and plenty of life to keep you interested. As an iphone game, it's great, just dpn;t be compared to compare it to a pc or console RPG. Well worth the money.
