Description

Rhythm Trainer is a series of fun field-tested exercises for mastering your essential rhythmic skills no matter what instrument you play.

Test your rhythmic skills. Get hang of the metronome beat. Learn to repeat different rhythms. Improve your sight reading skill.

It won’t take long to see that the app is much more efficient and exciting compared to conventional exercises along with a metronome.

Whether you practice alone or with a teacher, Rhythm Trainer will help you to:

• Develop a sense of rhythm.
• Sight-read rhythm notation.
• Accurately play a rhythm from notes.
• Hear mistakes in a rhythm by ear.

Rhythm is the heart of music. Learn the skill once, play rhythmically forever.

Great little app

The interface is really well designed, fun and easy to use!

It is fine, but it needs improvement.

It's pretty good. However, it doesn't really force you to read the Rhythms. It will tap the rhythm on audio before you play it which means that you don't actually need to look at the rhythms at all. You will get better at counting rhythm on a shallow level but it's unlikely that, as a beginner, you will gain any understanding of what the notes mean. It's a real shame because all they would need to do is add in the option to not hear the rhythm before you play it... it would make this app just so much better. I'll also say that it doesn't ever show you how to count anything particularly difficult.

#boss#, thanks a lot for your feedback! Adding such exercises is already in the plans. We have already tried them in the version for Google Play and the users seem to like them, but not everything is clear.

Handy rhythm exercises but a little pricey

I like the app. It’s a bit pricey for what it is but I think it’s a nice rhythm exercises tool.

My issue with it is that it’s not so helpful in supporting you to improve. It would be really handy if it gave some tips on how to imagine the rhythm in your head. Having rhythmic solfeg would be much more useful than having a really jarring voice counting “1…2…3…4” when you make too many mistakes. It doesn’t make sense that counting the beats is the only “support” you get no matter how advanced the exercises you do are. I was recently stuck on syncopated triplets - my issue isn’t with identifying the crotchet beats.
