Really helpful app to help us find what to do with the kids at the weekend or for afternoon school classes. Like the option to see what’s happening today near me so I can just push the pram to some entertainment close by rather than pack the car with the kids!

Severe technical glitches

I think the team of mums behind this app are very dedicated in their offering, unfortunately I feel they are let down on a technical level. There is a major bug in their system that somehow allows a user to specify certain search criteria for services, yet have a list of options presented that may or may not meet those criteria. When these products are purchased, the confirmation arrives with an email stating "You can cancel/edit your reservation at any time." Yet when it finally becomes obvious that the sale was conducted on false premises, this is not honoured. It took many emails and resorting to stating that the next step would be to involve the authorities for a refund to be offered, and only then as a "gesture of goodwill" not in accepting responsibility.

The salon at kids palooza is fab. We had two lovely ladies do our nails; marina and Jackie. They were so lovely with my LO Isabella, friendly and did a fantastic job of her nails. The play area is brilliant too, as I was happy for her to play alone whilst I got my nails done. I would go back again, it was well worth it.

We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym - Dubai

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of being invited to We Rock the Spectrum Dubai on Jumeirah Beach road in Beach Park Plaza. The venue was easily found and there was free valet parking. The kids noticed the huge window front of We Rock The Spectrum and were already eager to get in!As we entered the plaza Wrts Kids Gym was situated conveniently on the ground floor - very manageable for mothers with buggy’s. Upon entering we were welcomed with smiles and asked to fill out kids details, we remembered our socks, however they are available to purchase along with other items such as kids dress up, educational toys and craft materials.Whilst the kids took off there shoes I also noticed a sanctuary corner for mummy’s and daddy’s serving coffee, tea, snacks and popcorn for the kiddos, as I sat down for a minute (the big kid that I am) I was happily surrounded by sensory like sequenced cushions - which any child is drawn to! My moment of relaxation was cut short as Raef and Safá were practically jumping over the secured gate! As the kids entered they both ran in opposite directions - Raef ran straight to the two zip lines in the centre of the kids gym and Safá skipped away to the dressing up corner - thank god Reém was having her afternoon nap as I was torn between the two!Talking of Reém sleeping I was tempted to wake her up when I saw the lovely swings hanging from the ceiling, a car, the cutest sail boat ever and a vast variety of sensory related swings! The kids were definitely spoilt for choice, whether it was arts and craft to role play or burning a few calories on the kids treadmill and trampoline. An hour into play and Reém woke up, after a quick nappy change she was ready to go, her first point of interest was following her brother on the climbing wall - being the little daredevil that she is, she also climbed the steps to the zip line! It was nice to see that all 3 of them (of different ages) could experience the same activity together, at one point I found them sailing away on the boat swing! As I walked around I came across the calming room and by far this became my favourite spot, a small room with cushions, a cute teepee and story books - a great way to end the day.Definitely credit is due to the management in regards to planning, from the colours used to the placement of equipment this was thought out very well... The idea behind it all was to offer a place where children of all abilities can play in a safe environment, taking into consideration sensory, strength, movement and social interaction.Apart from open play Wrts kids gym also offers its own unique classes such as yoga, music, dance and much more.Your also in for a treat as Wrts kids gym offers catered birthday parties - you can choose from Rock Basic, Rock Star and Rock Star Deluxe which each come with an hours access to the kids gym.I would recommend purchasing the two hour session for 80aed instead of 60aed per hour.
