Simple - hits a sweet spot for me
I'm using it to remember the things I can do in my small and infrequent amounts of leisure time I get. It's perfect for that; much nicer to use and to look at than the Reminder app. And I use the notes to keep track of where a document is (PDF? which device? Kindle? Hard copy?) or which episode in a TV series I am up to. It would be nice to have the ability to add more than one thingslist to e.g. keep track of ideas for family days out (or in!).
It does what is says in the description, and is nice to use, but I think the devs have taken 'simple' a bit too far with the inability to edit or create categories. Some of the categories offered seem pretty pointless to me, while several more obvious ones are missing. Most of my list items so far I've listed under Products even though they're completely different kinds of product, for example a video game and a lawn mower. More or preferably editable categories are desperately needed, as well as iCloud integration, before this app becomes worthy of the price tag. They could also add the ability to sort items and maybe even add photos, and still keep the 'simple' moniker in my view.
Some of us are able to read
I was expecting a simple listing app and that's exactly what I got (The word 'simple' was put in uppercase to draw attention to it, one other reviewer seemed to have ignored the description). Anyway, this is a fantastic way of listing things and it's going to replace my use of notes because it has a better UI and generally feels better. Great work on the app, I look forward to future versions! I'd love to see some archiving functionality introduced.
