Things 3.9 is our big “Spring Cleaning” release – the culmination of months of work, with broad refactorings, architectural changes, and optimizations.
These major changes are all under the hood, so you should experience no difference in behavior.
But we have included some small usability improvements on iPhone and iPad as well:
• The app is significantly faster to launch, and also when opening a to-do, or tapping + to create a new to-do.
• The layout of collapsed to-dos is improved, particularly for smaller iPhones, so that more of the title is visible.
• Usability of the popover for setting dates has been improved to provide more clarity, especially when also setting reminders.

Ratings and Reviews
Mind bogglingly powerful
I am in awe of this application. Paired with Things on all my iOS devices (yeah, I'm one of those folk!), Things has really revolutionised my habits. Once upon a time I continuously put off completing tasks, and was crazy forgetful about everything. Now, I simply rely upon Things to remember for me, and to prod me into doing stuff on time.
It took a while to actually form the habit of listing my to-dos in the app, but once I started, it became almost automatic. Things has also become so beautiful over the years, especially the Dark Mode on OS X. The design and intuition that’s gone into it is stunning. I love it, and recommend it to everyone. One thing I would really like to draw attention to is the sync speed between devices – it is SO fast. I honestly don’t know how they manage it.
It's only now that I'm writing a review (something I never do!), but as a result I can vouch that Things is one of the best apps I've used over a multi-year period. To think that the team are still adding small quality of life features every now and then! I think it’s perfect already, but you can be sure they’ll think of something.
Developer Response ,
Thank you so much for this awesome review! We're thrilled to hear how much Things is helping you to keep on track, and has helped you to form good habits as well. Cheers!
Nearly Perfect for GTD
I’ve tried various apps to try to integrate my GTD (google it and read the latest - 2015 - version of David Allen’s book if you haven’t already) into my digital world. Things is for me the best - I’ve tried a lot of the others including Omnifocus, Nozbe, ToDoIst, IoS reminders. Things 3 fixes a couple of…er…things that weren’t quite there before in Things 2. Not quite perfect alignment with GTD but very close and anyway GTD can mean different things to different people. Even if you are not into GTD, Things 3 is easily the best app of this type out there. It’s well laid out, elegant and easy to use. Spend the time on keyboard shortcuts and go through the tutorials a few times so that you really know it. Definitely set it up on all your devices and sync so that you can capture stuff and review anywhere, and definitely use Siri with Things..it works a treat! I do not use Siri for anything else but somehow it’s just right with Things. I recommend Things 3 very highly!
I've held off exploring other 'ToDo' apps until I'd tried the new apple reminders, which while looking nice doesn't really advance the functionality much. Plus it still has those sync issues occassionally. Tried Things 3, it was like a veil had been lifted. firstly, it looks lovely, a well crafted, well thought through design. It's feature rich which makes organisation a breeze. I travel a lot and its great to make a each trip a project and capture everything I need to do there. The pie chart presentation gives an instant overview of progress. It's easy to use, does the job, doesn't get in the way like some complex todo apps and the calendar integration prvides a great snap sshot of your day and week/months ahead. Yes, it's eye wateringly expensive, but I don't resent these guy's making a living off such quality software with great support.
