ThinkNinja is designed for children and young people (10-18 years old) to help educate about mental health and emotional wellbeing. ThinkNinja also helps children and young people learn and develop a range of skills for when they are experiencing daily life stresses or who maybe feeling anxious or their mood feeling low.
As soon as you open ThinkNinja, you’ll meet me...Wise Ninja!! I’m your very own personal guide to help you learn about mental health on your journey of ups and downs with mood. If you’re feeling low, stressed or anxious, I have lots of cool and fun ideas and skills that you can learn and try. You’ll learn ways about how to feel healthier and happier through knowledge and skills which will stay with you forever. I’m also a motivator to help you build the courage to try new skills and to make changes in your daily life. This is all done in a really fun and interactive way!
I’ll help you monitor and track areas such as mood and provide useful tips for stressful situations such as exams. You can talk with me about how you’re feeling and from there I can help guide you! I’m around whenever you need me, day and night.
Here are some examples of why you might like to talk to me:
* If you’re feeling stressed, worried or anxious about things in life such as relationships, exams, going out seeing friends or shopping
* If you’re feeling low, tired and negative about yourself or life
* If you’re having unhelpful thoughts that stop you from enjoying life such as “something bad is going to happen” or “they think I’m stupid” or “what if they don’t like me” or “I’m going to fail if I do this”
* If you have physical symptoms such as fast heart rate, shaky hands, wobbly legs when you are in certain situations that make you nervous or anxious
Now for the technical stuff...
ThinkNinja is aimed at young people aged 10 to 18 years of age. ThinkNinja was created by child mental health psychologist experts with help from young people to make sure the content, skills and how we talk about mental health and mood are just right and fun to use.
ThinkNinja is built on therapy-based techniques called cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. CBT has been proven in many clinical studies around the world to help deal with anxiety and low mood. ThinkNinja also contains other really useful techniques for mental health and emotional wellbeing such as mindfulness meditation and relaxation techniques.
The Wise Ninja is using artificial intelligence, which means your personal guide is using special computer programming that has the ability to think and learn to stay wise! Your personal guide continues to get wiser and wiser to help you on your journey to enjoying life’s great moments!
How to use ThinkNinja...
All the great features of ThinkNinja is normally only available as part of special programmes through schools and the NHS. Due to the current exceptional circumstances, any 10-18 year old in the UK can get full free access to ThinkNinja.

I really like this app and it definitely helps with your stress levels. I have had it a while now and all it does is help your situation. The way they have set it out is wonderful! I would definitely recommend this to people that I know struggle as this helps largely with mental health.
One thing that I don’t really like is that there are only certain options of which you can talk about to the ninja so if I have had an issue that isn’t on the list then it can’t help me with that because it only has programmed responses. I know it’s good for a mental health app but maybe the developers could just expand the list a bit 😕.

Hello people, I downloaded this app because these days a lot of people are sad and don’t share their feelings with others and I thought I might be in that category. This is a great app. It really makes me feel positive after I have used it. Firstly, I feel that all the functions work well and have a point. The app uses positive language to engulf the reader in happy emotions. The wise ninja is good and fun to talk to but you can’t get off it. Can you also add a settings function so I can change some stuff. ITS A GREAT APP!

This app is fantastic! There’s so many skills and things to help you! On the other hand though, sometimes it will be a bit slow, and you can hardly ever type in your very own answer. Not all of the things I type in actually get answered...This is still a good app which I would recommend to any who feels sad,anxious, stressed or low.
