Ratings and Reviews
Brilliant aid for navigating through the Bible
I’ve used this app on and off for a few years. I tracked it down initially when I was trying to fathom the mysteries of the book of Revelation…and since then I’ve found it just as helpful in so many other books. Kris himself guides us through many of the books, and his engaging style and open-minded approach has really been key to unlocking each one.
Other teachers are good too! Whilst there’s one teacher I’ve learned to skip when they occasionally come up (their style is more conservative and old-school for my own more progressive viewpoint), I’m sure those audioguides will still suit plenty of people looking to get better understanding overall, and of course might appeal more!
With the guides I actually find I listen to/read the Bible in a much more engaged way than I can ever do without them. It’s become my daily go-to. Would highly recommend.
TTW you gotta get this!
Through The Word (TTW) is amazing. If you’re anything like me I struggled for years with some of the Old Testament books. Especially Leviticus and Numbers. I know it is God’s word but couldn’t really relate to them or put it into context. That was until I discovered TTW. Kris Langham and his team do an amazing job of breaking down each chapter in the Bible. They communicate it in plain English and even add a bit of humour. I listen to it on the way to the gym or work. Most commentaries are on average 7-8 mins long. So its great if your super busy in the day and don’t have much time. This app has literally revolutionised my Bible reading. I’m learning something new everyday. Thank God for his word and for Kris and his team making these valuable teachings available. Don’t take my word for it. Try it yourself, you won’t be disappointed. The best thing is it will bring you closer to God and that’s the whole point of it all, isn’t it!. 5*****
A trusted Resource Bible Study
Through the word is a brilliant app for Bible Study. It’s extremely extensive which is helpful to get gain an overall understanding chapter by chapter of Scripture by trusted teachers. The voice overviews are great for gaining biblical understanding on the go or whilst multi-tasking. There also short so are easy to fit into a busy schedule. The range of themes and Biblical story lines that are traced are really god especially concerning old-testament scripture’s. It’s helpful for group study and all around easy app to use. I would highly recommend for those looking for resources to help them understand the true meaning of the word of God. Also you can tailor the app to have the plans that will help you on your personal journey to understanding God
