Who Wrote this?
We used 'Time it Baby' downloaded onto my iPhone, when the contractions started. It’s supposed to time the space between contractions and then the duration of contractions and at first seems to be doing this. 4 hours down the line we could see in a summary that contraction times and spaces in-between had no rhythm or consistency to them. Then a horrible realisation. Every time we opened another app or used something else on the phone, placing Time it baby in session but in the background, its clock was stopping. All the timings were therefore wrong. 4 hours of data were useless and were mis-informing us all the way along. Who wrote this App? Clearly the timer is not pegged to the clock at all. It is a stopwatch that stops randomly and then starts again depending on the state of the app at any given moment.
Do the developers think that’s OK because you should have the window open in session? Well, over the duration of contractions you would have to have the App window open throughout. In our case that would have been 9/10 hours. In that time we would have been unable to use any other function of the phone, like for phoning the Hospital. Are these guys kidding themselves? Avoid this app.
