Time trap
Enjoying the game. The scenes are quite dark and this makes finding the items a little difficult. Overall holding my interest.
Good for free, with good paid model
Casual fare isn't normally my thing, but I needed something to fill a gap in my day and this did the job, and then it went on filling gaps til I just finished it. Don't know if the free model is normal for this type of game but it's perfectly done I think.
Gameplay wise, it's ordinary HO scenes interspersed with arbitrary picture tile puzzles. Scenes are numerous and replayable, with object list switched, and it doesn't take much to learn the locations and challenge the speed leaderboard. Obviously not flawless, the usual sporadic gripes of the genre are present: unknown or wrongly-named items, confusing hit zones for objects, leading you on a wild goose chase when you'd guessed correctly, and a plot I can't remember, didn't read much, but let's face it it was probably lamentable.
Most of that is lessened though, hints have a time delay that seems to get shorter if you're using a lot, and the payment model is comprised of four enhancements bought individually for a pound each (such as no-ads) and seem mostly about easy and enjoyable traversal around puzzles rather than artificial score-boosters. I had a decent time for free, finding the current ads mostly skippable a few seconds in, and felt like devs showed they thought about us freebooters by relaxing the hints to help when I'd used a lot, and offering a few cheap options to tweak the game. I'll buy an enhancement anyway because fair's fair.
ADDICTIVE BUT FRUSTRATING !
I really enjoy this game and echo what other reviewers have said. My only gripe is that you never seem to progress and get the 3 stars on each level! Every time you go to the Menu and you think you have completed the page it shows you haven’t got all the stars! When you open the level you just do the same thing again & again & have to repeat finding the objects!
I’ve yet to workout what the heart and coin tokens are for!
There should be more explanation of how to complete a level rather than it just repeating the same pages / puzzles again and again! You do progress but I just do not understand the 3 star accomplishment?? How does that actually contribute to the progression of the levels?
Any help would be appreciated!
