Description

This small, simple four-button timer application is easy for anyone to use! The time counts down in minutes and seconds; when it expires, a ring sounds, the display flashes, and the elapsed expired time is also shown on the display. The timer also counts up from zero, if the time is started at zero. A large, easy-to-read time display is shown in the dock, for quick reference. Full screen and mini modes offer additional helpful ways to view the timer. The full screen mode is fully supported on multiple monitors. The timer can be controlled from the keyboard: press the spacebar to start or stop the timer, the m key to increase the minutes, s key to increase the seconds, and clear or zero key to reset the timer.

Mea culpa

When I bought this it wouldn't launch - kept telling me it had quit unexpectedly. But through the support line (you can see from my earlier review below that I thought there was no support to be had. It IS available, and very helpful, so sorry about that) I got a very speedy solution to my problem which was due to my not having Helvetica CY among my fonts. The developer emailed me a temporary alternative version with a different font which does everything it's supposed to; and is preparing an update that will address this issue. This is a neat timer which works well; but it would be improved if the stop/start mechanism could be operated with a keystroke rather than with the cursor; and if the app came to the front when the alarm sounds instead of having to be retrieved from the background.
