Love it, love it, love it

I’m a new pianist, currently on Grade 3, and need to keep my interest up by playing non-exam pieces. This app is perfect. It helps you develop by allowing you to vary metronome speeds, taking you through a score in rhythm and setting practice loops. So you are not just entertaining yourself but developing skills as you go, at the level you are at! What a great bit of technology. I love that there are so many styles and scores. There really is something for everyone and every mood. There are hundreds of what I would call ‘real pieces’ I.e. music written for piano, not just arrangements of songs, although those are fun. Great to play along with an orchestra too, because learning the piano can be a solitary thing. What would be very fabulous is if the ABRSM exam pieces could be on here … I’m guessing ABRSM might not agree to it. But it would then be the perfect companion to the piano student.

No up to date pop

I must note I’m still in my trial period.
I enjoy playing my alto sax with friends who can sing along. There is an enormous amount of scores but I don’t think there is enough choice of today’s music, songs people listen to on the radio. I spent a lot of time scrolling through thousands of scores and as it stands I think I only downloaded maybe 20. It would be fantastic if there was a library of today’s chart music / favourite love songs (to perform at weddings). As it stands I just don’t feel there is enough option to be able to play modern music, songs that people will request.
Apart from this the app is great to learn on. The options to control the speed and the option to loop is fantastic, I also like the option to play along to another saxophone till you get to grips with the song, then you can take it out and go solo 👌🏻 like I said I’m still in my trial period but as it stands I just don’t think there is enough option for what I want to play.

Great app and a good value

I love the functionality of the app; tempo, playback, recording etc. All fantastic. The choice of tunes could be better, but, it is pretty good and they do seem to add quite regularly. I thought there was the ability to change key, but that is not the case, although it does say in the FAQs that you can email a request if you need this. Value for money I don’t think you can go wrong so I would recommend it. One function I would have liked is the ability to add the elements into Garage Band to help with recording. Maybe something to look at for the future? Overall a very good app to help improve playing and timing and widen repertoire. Ps I play alto sax.
