What’s New

Version 3.5.2

aCalling all musicians! It's back-to-school time and the opportunity to test the new features in the all new Tomplay version 3.5. We have made the following improvements in this version:

• When you record, you now have the possibility of fixing the volume of your recording and the audio backing track separately using the new mixer. You will therefore get a better sound quality and will also be able to record yourself listening to the musical backing track on your headphones.
• We have now added an on-screen instrument for the saxophone, flute and trumpet (as well as the piano, drums and guitar which are already available). This reading aid shows the on-screen instrument under the sheet music and will be particularly useful if you're not yet comfortable with reading the notes on the sheet music.
• When you choose the parameters for hiding the scrolling cursor, this setting is now remembered so that you don't have to do it each time you open the score.

We have also corrected some minor bugs in this version. In addition, we have released more than 1,000 sheet music titles between this version and the last up-date published several weeks ago!

U.Kearlybird ,

Great app and a good value

I love the functionality of the app; tempo, playback, recording etc. All fantastic. The choice of tunes could be better, but, it is pretty good and they do seem to add quite regularly. I thought there was the ability to change key, but that is not the case, although it does say in the FAQs that you can email a request if you need this. Value for money I don’t think you can go wrong so I would recommend it. One function I would have liked is the ability to add the elements into Garage Band to help with recording. Maybe something to look at for the future? Overall a very good app to help improve playing and timing and widen repertoire. Ps I play alto sax.

No up to date pop

I must note I’m still in my trial period.
I enjoy playing my alto sax with friends who can sing along. There is an enormous amount of scores but I don’t think there is enough choice of today’s music, songs people listen to on the radio. I spent a lot of time scrolling through thousands of scores and as it stands I think I only downloaded maybe 20. It would be fantastic if there was a library of today’s chart music / favourite love songs (to perform at weddings). As it stands I just don’t feel there is enough option to be able to play modern music, songs that people will request.
Apart from this the app is great to learn on. The options to control the speed and the option to loop is fantastic, I also like the option to play along to another saxophone till you get to grips with the song, then you can take it out and go solo 👌🏻 like I said I’m still in my trial period but as it stands I just don’t think there is enough option for what I want to play.

Finally, the perfect app for learning!

I’ve downloaded so many apps for learning piano, almost in a bid to avoid that awful learning feeling... you know, that chore feeling where you feel guilty for not putting in the practice...

Well this app makes you forget that and reignite your passion for piano because you can find literally any piece of music that resonates with you at any grade and you then feel amazing being able to play with it. Slow it down, speed it up, and most amazingly you can play along to what feels like actual orchestras, even in the beginner pieces! I feel like I’m in a professional band!

Absolutely addicted once i subscribed, flawless app, thank you!,
