Can we download own PDF. files?
Really good, simple, perfect, no gimmicks or additional gadgets. But quite a small library in store so far, especially in Jazz and Pop: nothing yet there. I downloaded Joplin's Entertainer, but it would not allow me to assign a Jazz category to it. Also, why can't we download our own scores in PDF. file format? Then this application would become most precious necessity for musicians. Please, guys, you have created a brilliant application, but then have restrained it's use: could you add a download-your-own-scores facility?
Maybe it's testament to my poor playing, but this thing provided in-playing entertainment as I watched it get completely lost as I played. Only problem was I had to turn the pages myself as it had no clue where I was. I was constantly worried it might turn the page at the wrong time too, until it finally did that, and turned about 3 pages backwards for apparently no reason! If I was a serious player it would be annoying though, but at least page turners can rest secure their jobs are safe. The only thing that really annoyed me is how it tries to cash in by selling sheet music. I'm going to keep it until I've learned the songs it comes with, then I'm deleting it to save hard disk space.
Even better with more selection and helpful service too
The new version has a much needed and welcome increased selection of new tunes, including some in genres other than classical. After I upgraded the app crashed and all my music came up blank. However, I emailed Tonara and received very prompt, helpful and friendly advice. Apparently the bug will be fixed in the next couple of days; in the meantime, I am very impressed with the service! Working brilliantly now.
