What is social polling and what makes Torch unique?
In contrast to traditional polling, social polls are formulated by the users themselves, meaning polls can relate to any topic or interest. For instance, a Torch user creates a poll, choosing to receive answers from
a) close friends, family, peers or colleagues, by creating 'private groups'.
b) if it's a general topic a user can ask for responses from the general public, or a section of the general public who are on the App by creating a public group that anyone can join, (e.g. A New Moms group).
All polls created within Torch are followed by infographics that show how other users answered that question depending on age, location, and gender, providing a unique insight into how your opinions differ from others. Torch makes the social content attached to a poll relevant to the poll topic, so if you are asked a question on endangered species, the media within the poll, whether video, audio or imagery will be about endangered species, making the poll engaging and fun. It's a unique way to enhance the learning or insight experience; it adds weight to questions, encourages deeper reflection, and helps to create a sense of community between users.
In addition, Torch has an emphasis on privacy, real-time engagement, and data transparency. Torch empowers users to control their data, fostering trust and meaningful connections through private and public polls. This enables users to scroll through the App, safe in the knowledge that, if desired, they can truly answer any question on any interesting topic completely anonymously.
