Took a while but solid good conversions

I sometimes convert viseo formats so they will play on my 5gen Apple TV from a remote network drive. Handbrake can do this but files won't always work in Quicktime or on my Apple Devices. Total Video Converter does the job. I end up with MP4 files that work perfectly on my apple devices and TV. Using the Lite version it did take a full movie several hours to do on my macbook Pro but the end result was worth it & no loss of quality at all. I've upgraded to the paid Pro version now because I think I'll use Video Converter as my go to app from now on.

Best so far...

I've downloaded two other converters in the past with unfavorable results. But since using this one, I've had absolutely no problems at all. Only small niggle is that there isn't a specific setting for the iPad, however setting it to convert to MPEG4 is exactly the same thing anyways. Happy chappy!

Horrible to use but the only horse in town

This is a half-written piece of software: the UI is cobbled together from whatever the programmer could find, the progress bar doesn’t work at all (goes immediately to 100%, which is probably why some reviewers have said it doesn’t work).

But the bottom line is that it’s the only piece of software I’ve found that can convert .h264 files. (Not H.264 format, which is a different kettle of fish.) Which means it may be a lifesaver.
