Discover nearby mosques in Tower Hamlets, including prayer times and directions.
Tower Hamlets is a vibrant, culturally rich and diverse borough. It has a great religious heritage with many churches, temples, synagogues and mosques. Muslim history in the borough stretches back to the 19th century and the East London Mosque, the largest in Europe, is over 100 years old. Today, the borough has the largest Muslim population in the UK.
To date, there are 47 mosques throughout the borough catering for worshippers and the community. Considering the size of Tower Hamlets this is an impressive figure. Having so many mosques within easy reach allows worshippers the opportunity, should they so wish, to pray at a different mosque for each prayer.
However, there are only a few mosques in the borough with a fully functioning website, and fewer still, with an online prayer timetable. A need arose where all the timetables for the borough’s mosques could be accessed from one central point. Thus Tower Hamlets Mosques was born.
For the moment, we have only included the prayer times as this is the main feature of the project. In the near future, we intend to add community events, announcements and record an overall picture of Muslim history in Tower Hamlets.

Very convenient
Like most other people in the comments I have been using the website and this app has been very convenient. However I have suggestions including the addition of widgets so I can have all the Jammah times of my preferred mosque on my home screen. Also, the addition of notifications with the customisation of how early the notification plays (an hour before Jummah at X mosque or 15 minutes before Asr at Y mosque). customisation for each notification based on my routine. maybe i have work throughout the day and go to X mosque and then in the evening i go to Y mosque. maybe a feature that uses your location and notifies you for jammah based on the travel time to the closest mosque. This app has helped me a lot and i’d love to see it improve over time.
An extremely resourceful app, although it would be even better if it had functions like the website.

Jazakumullahu Khayran for all your efforts in starting the website and compiling TH mosques’ times in one place. The app is an added bonus. I understand the app is fairly new. Which I have been looking forward to, as I think the app itself is a great concept and innovative. May Allah continue to reward you for all your efforts.
Can I suggest, having the option to see future days for Salah times like it is available on the website. Helps to see if a Masjid someone plans on going to, if the Jama’ah will be at a different time.
Also, could you categorise the Masaajid into areas as you have done on the website. I know the search bar is there, but sometimes a person might be in an area where they don’t know any around. The location is helpful to find nearby Masaajid but many wouldn’t want location turned on.
By the way, I emailed twice on the TH Mosques email address but got no response.

Excellent App for the Tower Hamlets Muslim Community
This app is truly excellent. It helps me a lot in finding nearby mosques in Tower Hamlets and keeps me updated with accurate Jamaat times. It’s especially helpful for Jummah and Eid salah arrangements. I used to follow the website before, but since I started using the app, it’s been a great experience—much more convenient and user-friendly.
You can definitely add more features in the future, but please keep it as simple and clean as it is now. Simplicity is one of its best strengths. Highly recommended for anyone in the local Muslim community!
