Toy Blast 4+

I have been playing this game for quite a while and finally thought I’d review it. I enjoy puzzle games - especially without timers or time limits - and found this one great to unwind with. I have never spent a penny on this game and with all the coins and extras you can win, never see myself needing to. The levels do get progressively harder and when you reach the legends arena games can seem a bit familiar but they vary it enough to keep it interesting. You do need to use strategy as the levels get more difficult but there is some luck involved in which blocks you get. Don’t rush the game but think through your moves to make them more effective. You can save up additional lives if you run out or use the coins you win to buy more or spend 25 coins to keep playing if you’re close enough - but you only get 5 more moves so use this sparingly. If you build up a stockpile of coins and extras then that helps to fall back on with a particularly hard level. I have now reached the point where I run out of games to play frequently and have to wait for an update to add more levels but they do this often so I’m never without games for long. I do have a busy life outside toy blast (believe it or not) and do not play it endlessly but it’s great for relaxing and distracting my brain after a stressful day.

Compared to some games I’ve played, the ads are limited and can be watched selectively to gain bonuses, lives and goes. The game plays easier when you go hard, the harder you go the more coins, tools and infinity lives you get! I reached the top about 5 years ago when sub level 3000 ish was the top … I got bored waiting for updates and didn’t play for ages. Came back a few weeks ago and I’ve smashed over 2500 levels in 3 weeks. My tip is to use infinity lives to smash the tricky levels. Know when to quit and restart the levels so you don’t waste precious time. I’ve never paid for anything on this app … just done almost 700 stars for my team in the team competition next nearest player in my team is 560 stars below me. Since I joined the team I get all the extra lives I need. To find a good team, choose one that gives lives. My current team gives out over 500 lives per week! This game is not hard … 5 lives usually last me 2 hours of play! Plus … I don’t have Facebook! … the only annoying thing for me is that it wants me to use FB. I’ve been playing Toy Blast for about 3 years now and I’ve been enjoying it. I liked the fact that you could send, receive and request lives with Facebook friends as well. However, I’ve had a problem with this in the past month or two. One day, I got a notification saying that one of my Facebook friends sent me a life, but when I tried to use it, there was nothing there. It also wouldn’t let me send and request lives to anyone, and the list of my Facebook friends who have connected to the game with Facebook had disappeared. I was the only one on the list. So I tried turning my iPad off and on again, which didn’t work. Then I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it because they said I wouldn’t lose my progress if I did that. So I deleted the app and reinstalled it, which kept my progress, but didn’t fix the problem with the lives from Facebook friends. I thought this might be fixed in a future update, but it wasn’t. The previous few updates haven’t fixed this problem. I thought it might have had something to do with my iPad’s iOS, but the App Store says this game requires iOS 9 or later, and I have iOS 12.4.8 installed. I really hope this gets sorted soon because I think this is the only reason why I’ve had to give this game 4 stars rather than 5.
