The Trackstar App provides Trackstar customers with powerful functions to complement the Trackstar tracking system such as:
Vehicle Location: will show you the last known location of the vehicle, normally where the vehicle was parked.
Geofencing: enables a Trackstar customer to define a location and receive an email alert if the vehicle is moved outside of the geofence.
Journey History: provides a view of recent journeys.
Journey Player: allows the customer to replay a recent journey, showing the position of the vehicle and its speed for the duration of the journey.

Unimpressed - better systems out there
Got this system pre-installed on a new camper van. Took a few months to get it working properly (it wouldn’t save the geofence). Email alerts only with no option for text and it’s thus totally passive. It doesn’t track journeys properly - recently drove from Kent to Pembroke and the journey history is showing 7 journeys with gaps in where I had been (we only stopped twice before anyone thinks it might be to do with the ignition being turned off). Can’t wait for the contract to run out so I can go back to the last system I had (Phantom). Same money for much more functionality on their app (eg battery detail, location, journey history, etc etc) and crucially a phone call and text when the van moves!
This app is so useless. Vehicle location does not update. Still showing as Pangbourne where it was serviced in Aug last year! Date and time stamp at the location changes, but without showing you where it is, pretty pointless. Apparently Trackstar use a different system themselves to know where your car is, because if they used the same data source as this app, may as well not bother fitting their tracker at all! Numerous emails and all the say is that it’s a basic free app. That is irrelevant. If it doesn’t work don’t bother offering it! Look at all the negative reviews....
Like a lot of people, I do not have email notifications turned on, because of all the “Junk” mail that comes through during the night. Why is there no option to have text alerts? They are more immediate than emails too? The vehicle location does not update very quickly either! Just a little bit of fine timing would make the app much better, but the issues have been there for some time, without any attention from the developer. Shame.
