The Rescue Dinos have arrived! Two friends of Griffin Rock Rescue, Professor Baranova and Frankie Greene, have gone missing on a mysterious island, but conniving and greedy Colonel Quarry, the only person who knows where to find them, is refusing to help! The latest TRANSFORMERS RESCUE BOTS interactive storybook app, based on the hit animated series, suits up the reader as the Rescue Team’s newest cadet and puts them at the center of the action, working with the Rescue Bots to save their friends and “roar to the rescue” in their new dinosaur forms!
Optimus Prime personally recruits the reader as Griffin Rock’s newest Rescue Team cadet. To complete this rescue mission, the Rescue Bots will need to change into their ‘Dino Bot’ forms, but that may not be enough! No more value than watching the show with a colouring book!
I am deeply disappointed with this limited app experience. Purchased for my 3 and 4 year olds to explore content with the dino bot forms of the key Rescue Bots from the TV Show.
On the face of it this should have been a good purchase but watching my children just revisit an episode of the show in either a mode where it is read to them automatically or they push the story forward does not hold their attention for an decent amount of time with my 4 y/o pointing out that she had seen this before.
The colour a dino mode is underdeveloped and is just a point and click paint experience again not what I expected (a side note some of the predefined areas are really tricky to select leading to children not wanting to go back to that image as they know it’s difficult due to reasons beyond their control).
The photo mode is inescapably poor. Just take a photo and it sits there... no bot voice congratulating the action, the photo cannot be filtered or changed, limited is a kind definition.
I would highly recommend some of the other Rescue Bot apps on the App Store but this is the first I’ve come across that I would actively tell people to avoid.
Do not buy this app!
I’d love a refund so that my kids can spend it on something worthwhile.
Hope future versions of this app or other apps from you improve. Listen to feedback and take action :)
Bad bad bad
Really bad app every time my son opens the app it works upside down and not even the sound works my son gets board in 2m when u have to pay for it at least should work 100% please refund
Terrible rip off
This is so short my 4 year old completed it in about 5 minutes. No replay value and a complete rip off. Avoid!
