Description
The “Travel Phrasebook” App has many useful foreign phrases and words (e.g., “Thank you!”, “How much?” or “A table for two, please!”).
When you tap a phrase, the app speaks it aloud. There is no guessing as to how to pronounce the words. And if the app is talking too quickly for you, simply tap the snail/turtle icon to hear the words more slowly. Listen to pronunciation recorded by native speaker and then record and play back your own voice to practice your foreign language speaking skills!
When traveling to foreign countries, make sure you bring the app with you! Ideally you listen to a phrase and repeat it, but if your accent is terrible, you can play the voice on the app to local people (e.g., a waiter or store clerk). Language barrier while travelling abroad will no longer exist!

Amazing
There are so many apps out that and none of them are really accurate but this is so good to learn the basics of Japanese and has really helped me 10/10 would recommend. If you want to learn another language use this app trust me you won’t regret it, I just have a suggestion can you add a section for insults and more general things such as ‘look at that’, ‘I’m so happy/sad/angry/‘ or ‘Did you see that?’ That’s all but I do love this.

We’re going to Turkey in August, although we’ve been before- some people do have trouble with our accents (Wolverhampton/Black Country/Birmingham), or us making ourselves understood.
This has all the main sentences/words/phrases for you, either for you to learn, to record, show the other person or to even have the words spoken to the other.
It’s going to be great! Much better than google translate, where you can ask “a glass of water please”, but it’ll come out with water glass you, etc.
great app, well worth a try! Many languages, for £4.49, no internet needed? Brilliant!
Great app for tourist level language study
Currently trying to learn some Greek phrases and the features are great, I really like being able to slow the recorded phrases right down to understand how to pronounce them correctly, and being able to build a favourite list for studying from. The flash cards are good. One feature request would be the ability to reverse the flash cards - i.e. listen to the phrase so you can test if you understand it. Would really help with listening skills.
