Trillian is my favourite messaging app. For more than 10 years I have used it on macOS and before that for about 5 years on WinXPto chat and exchange photos with a old school pal who lives in FL USA.
On the very rare occasion of a update failing, there is usually a replacement update within a day or two - brilliant service for a free version!

Stopped working with this update
I have loved and relied on Trillian but it now ‘unexpectedly closed’ every time I launch since the 6.3.4 . Please fix asap!
Best Mutliple IM Client On Mac!
I have been using Trillian for quite a while now & have to say that it is app which I could not live without!
My main multiple IM client for Mac used to be Adium, which used to be a very good app with a quite a customisable interface! Sadly with recent versions of Adium, the app which used to prove so reliable for connecting to my Facebook, Instant Messenger & Yahoo Messanger account seems to have become very buggy, constantly crashing & asking for passwords or just not accepting them at all!
After looking around for another mutliple IM client, a friend of mine recommended Trilliant & I have to say it is the best app I regulary use on my Mac.
Whilst it can be said the user interface is not as customisable as Adium, Trillian's interface is clean & easy to use. There are also quite a lot of nice little features which I like such as: being able to read Facebook status updates, event notifications, group requests & friend requests, set my status from the app + Trillian also features Growl notifications which displays a little speach bubble to notify you when contacts sign on which means you will never missing somebody ever again if you just happen to be using another app!
There are so many little features which make Trillian such a brilliant little app + it is so stable you will never let you down that I would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody looking for a handy mutliple IM client!
