Great for hotels but not so great for flights.

They deal with difficulties pretty well when you’re booking hotels. Eg we booked a hotel that didn’t take foreigners so they rang us up and offered to find a different hotel with similar facilities and similar price. However it wasn’t the same service for flights. I had a flight cancelled and booked on the same flight at a different time. I needed to get on that flight to get a connection flight but they weren’t having any of it, instead they asked me to ring the airline instead and obviously the customer service of China eastern didn’t speak any English. So basically lost 1200 rmb.

Appalling customer service

Effortless travel until their become a problem. I thought CTrip was great until they get something wrong.

Episode 1: I booked a hotel in Hong Kong, the website said everything was fine. However I called the hotel to ask a question, no answer via phone. I tried all day. I then talked to a person who used work there, the hotel has been closed since 2 months ago. I went on the Facebook page, found out it in bright bold letters, we are closing down in June. So I called CTrip sent them a picture, of the hotel closing, they said we will investigate. Three hours later, no response (the lady never got back to me). I called again, sent the picture, again. She made me wait, called the hotel. Said I need to resolve the issue with the owner, made me call the owner. I then had to force the owner to own up to CTrip that the hotel wasn’t entirely closed but all of the services except the room itself. Then CTrip refunded me. I had to push so hard, and they made me do the work!

Episode 2: Simple, I booked a ticket to one place, instead it booked a place returning instead of going there. As soon as confirmation of payment had gone though I noticed the change, called them, asked them to change it, charged me said they didn’t know if I was telling the truth. Disgusting.

Try and find another application with better Customer Service and then tell me, searching today!

Worst customer service and app

I wish I could give less than 1 star if possible. This is literally the worst app with features that are only made to grab your money, provide the worst service and then force you to pay more money. The customer service and departments are even worse. They will waste hours and hours of your time rather than to help even in the slightest problems. The customer service just use it is our policy, we are a third party service so we cannot do this for, let me create a case and push it to the department as A free pass to not help you with the slightest of problems which would take them hardly one second to solve. I would say don’t fall for their petty scams of discounts, it is better to pay a little more amount to the first party app and enjoy the customer service than to use this app and be treated as a money making machine and not a human. Utterly disgusting behaviour.
