Trolleywise APP 4+

If you’re using the app. Then likely you’ve encountered these same issues as I have. The app. will often take 2, 3 or even 4 attempts at locating itself, and then fails to pull down the retailer list and this is with a full 4G signal. The makers of this app. need to make it more stable and iron those bugs out. It should also give you the ability to pin on a map the trolley location if the GPS fails. Otherwise this is good to clear these eyesores out of our parks and neighbourhoods but I can’t help feel we’re doing both the Council’s and Supermarket’s jobs for them...

Having become fed up of seeing trolleys everytime we look out our windows I discovered this app. The first attempt failed as the retailer doesn’t have a contract round our way. On the second attempt we have confirmation that the team will be coming to recover the trolleys. Hopefully it will be a swift response and they will remove all the trolleys that blight our street. The only negative to all this is that the people who “steal” them to get their shopping home will have no penalties and will simply find they have a collection service. The cost of collection should be passed on in the form of a fine.
I will update this review as time goes on and we see how efficient the service is.

UPDATE - Within an extremely short space of time the trolleys have been collected by a very nice gentleman who will also be informing the other store (not contracted to them) about 2 other trolleys still present. This is not in his remit but a jolly nice thing to do by the trolley man! Increased to 5 stars.

Getting annoyed with trolleys being left opposite our house at a children’s play park and had previously taken the smaller trolleys to the local supermarket in my own vehicle but a large trolley was left this time and I was unable to transport this myself.

I decided to give this app a try and stood next to the trolley and took a photo and submitted this and the GPS from the photo at around 7pm one evening. Next morning I had a notification that the driver was collecting this and I saw the van outside my house just leaving with the trolley. Brilliant service! The in app experience was also easy.

I’ve noticed trolleys dotted around my area when out walking so will now use this service a lot more.
