TrueFire True Guitar Awesomeness!
I’ve be been downloading TrueFire lessons for 10 years and have built up a large collection of absolute gems in that time. My guitar playing has gone in leaps and bounds since my first purchase which was Modes That Matter by Chris Bueno who is a force of nature for electric guitar studies. Whether looking for something specific or just browsing for inspiration my musical ambitions always enlivened and intrigued by the stuff I discover here. I particularly love the sales - the huge discounts offered allow for exploration of a Miriad of styles and lessons which I could only dream of owning at full price and these serve as a taster into deeper future studies. TrueFire are continually developing their interface which really adds quality to the experience and ease of overcoming the more challenging lessons. Highly recommended to any guitar players whatever level you are at.
Crashes after updating to iOS 15.4.1
It pains me to write a one star review as this was a great app and the content is amazing. Unfortunately I can’t access my purchased content as the app crashes immediately on opening after updating to iOS/iPadOS 15.4.1. I have tried restarting and reinstalling on both my iPad and iPhone but no luck. Hopefully the developer will update this app quickly and I can get back to my courses.
Great content, poor app
Dear TrueFire, your content and teaching are first class, but you should really think about changing your software developer. The app is unpredictable, frequently hangs and is generally slow to respond. The UI isn’t that intuitive either and could benefit from some user experience (UX) expertise. Example: When selecting a lesson, the load will freeze. You then tap and it will re-start but stop again. Tapping again will start the lesson. That ritual is necessary most of the time but not always. Another “feature” is when the lesson audio runs but the window doesn’t switch from the lesson structure view to the lesson window - that requires a close-and-restart. Your excellent material and superb tutors deserve a better consumer platform than this.
