A bit misleading not really fit for purpose
The iTunes dupliactes remover doesn’t actually remove the files. Sure it makes iTunes look pretty by removing the duplicates but if you look in your music folder, they are all still there, taking up space. The other issue is that it takes a very long time (hours) to complete any task with say 4000 odd duplicates with no idication of how long is left. I feel ripped off by this app. Gemini looks much more promising.

The app will not keep any duplicated file that you select, it will send the files to Trash, you can find the files there, maybe this is why you still see the same free disk space available (until you empty the Trash). Can't believe i paid for this to remove duplicates when itunes already has this feature, plus it doesnt actually even work using this app. Truly awful waste of money, should be deleted from app store.
I thought this was free...
Well that was a waste of time. I downloaded it and yes, it did select 3 of my duplicates (I have loads more) but then wouldnt remove them until I had paid £4.99. Sorry, but I thought you could have done this bit for free. I have now deleted it and will look for a better app.

TunesMechanic if free for testing - you can check all the features and also it has a lot of tools your can use for free: remove dead links, remove cached files and so on. But indeed, to remove duplicates you must upgrade to the Pro version, it's quite cheap and it's life time access.
