Two of my friends ( ladies ) were returning home to Russia. They arrived at Ercan two hours before departure. The plane left Ercan 35 minutes late this only left them 55 minutes to disembark and get to the gate in the new airport at Istanbul. They got of the plane and I told them to look for an employee directing transit passengers to departures, there was no body there to do this. They eventually found the gate and were told the flight had departed, and would have to buy a new ticket circa £500 each. After a lot of arguing they eventually got new boarding passes for a flight 24 hours later. To their amazement they were told that their suitcases would be on the same flight, indicating that they didn’t even have time to transfer their suitcases to the flight they had missed. My friends were left at the airport with no money, no food or drink, and no phone call to family to let them know what had happened. They were also told that if they didn’t leave the desk police would be called. Disgusting treatment of passengers, I would like to hear your views on this, also will be contacting star alliance with the same. After all you do claim to be the best airline in the world.
Booking Flight issues via the app

I gave 3*, purely because;When booking a flight, it puzzles me every time that - if I look for flights on the app, it is not the same as, if I look for flights on my laptop (maybe I’m doing something wrong and if so, I guess - because it is not very clear to navigate the app).My last flight - I tried to book my flights via my app and the earliest flight it would show me was around after lunch time. Yet again, when I tried to book on my laptop (via the web), I got a flight at 10:20 am.And I experience this almost every time. Why??? It just don’t make sense.Otherwise the app is good.

When you’re trying to book a flight. Let’s say you need some information and you have to go to your pictures or notes for passport information or any other information or even your credit card details. When you go back to the app it automatically revert you back to the home screen and you lose everything. It just doesn’t give you a time at all it doesn’t even give you a couple of minutes. For such a big company like Turkish airlines this is absolutely shocking. Are use apps from other airlines and there is no issue whatsoever it allows you to go back to your pictures or whatever information you need to complete your purchase. You really need to work on the app or change your developers.

Booked flights with Turkish, with the intention of using them again over a number of flights and using their rewards system. However they didn’t add my flights to my wallet and don’t give you the info you need to add each individual flight to their system (you can’t add a booking, each flight need adding individually…yawn). The app is also slow and looks dated. Finally, the airplanes them selves are literally the same as Ryanair but with a different colour scheme and a entertainment system with a non responsive touch screen, so the person behind you is tapping on your head all flight. The BA app has much lower reviews but actually gives a better experience. Go figure. I want to use Turkish as I’m doing a lot of flights on the same route for the foreseeable but honestly, right now I think a budget airline is a better option
