Turn-Up 17+

This is my favourite way to meet people in real life so I really like the idea behind this app. It has all the niche bands that I listen to and awesome to find people that also love them. Only issues are, it’s a little under subscribed.. constantly matching with people all over the country- cool to make friends but not really practical irl. Also the help section is really basic. And no search or faq. I just wanted to find out how to unmatch someone and all you have is the basics, which mostly are pretty intuitive. Maybe a developer can advise?

In general it’s such a great idea. They need to spend on advertising to get more people to sign up though.

I paid for premium too see how the algorithms work. And it still seems the same as when you don’t pay. The likes you receive are the same as when you don’t pay. It seems like some accounts that are inactive are still able to be liked. They could do with adding a live active status or last seen status for matches so then you can at least see if someone you’ve matched with is still actively using the app. Even with matches it still seems difficult to get a reply and more often than not, people have their socials on their profile because it’s easier to use other apps haha. This one. The concept of the music and quizzes is an excellent idea but needs further implementation. It’s great for seeing more people your style and type. It’s just difficult to gain consistency when it comes to likes and messaging profiles. I hope the app has an update where active profiles show further up the queues for likes which will post overall how many matches each person gets. Thanks

I did a test after noticing I had been ‘liked’ by other profiles..

I noticed a review of a disappointed person who believed it appears you have to pay to see and speak to the profiles that have liked you. A developer responded by saying you will see those profiles while swiping and be able to match and chat for free. My test seemed prove that this is in fact a lie. With there being so few users currently it doesn’t take long to swipe through with the search preferences set as high and as far as they’ll go. So I did.. not a single one of the profiles which had like me showed up and I completely ran out of people to swipe. Yet I’m still prompted to pay to see the profiles which liked me. It’s a shame as this app is actually a fairly decent idea and I quite enjoyed creating my profile and seeing others profile setups. It could be a cool app if it one day transforms from a money grab to a more effective and user considerate project. Plenty work to do for now unfortunately.

Thanks for the time spent on your test, unfortunately it's never that simple, there may be plenty of reasons for that to happen: maybe you swipe them to the left, maybe you already had swiped them to the left before, maybe the person has deleted his/her account or changed his/her filters...
