TV Cast for LG webOS 17+

Started out well

Was really pleased to start with as I’d heard a lot of good reports about this app and was excited to try it with my daughters wedding video. It started to play nicely for the first 5-10 mins and then it buffers every 2 minutes for the rest of it 🙁 which is really disappointing. Don’t know if there’s anything I can do to sort it out. The video is just over 20 mins long.

Please try the following options that may help:

(1) Please make sure you have a stable internet connection (both your iOS device and the receiver device). Please also try to move your wifi access point (or router) nearer to your receiver device and your sender device to improve the signal.
(2) Please make sure that the energy-saving mode of your phone is not activated. Please note that low battery from your device can also lead also to incorrect transmission.

(3) Please try to turn off both your smartphone and your Cast device completely (pull the plug) and let it cool down for about 5 minutes.
(4) Please make sure that your LGdevice has the correct time setting. Wrong time settings can lead to incorrect transmission.

(5) Please check out the tutorial videos and the FAQ inside the app and read the official setup and troubleshooting guides provided by the manufacturer of your TV or casting device. Please let us know if any of this solutions work for you. If you still have issues, please try to add a few more information: Which website/video is effected? Please also add information about the sender device (example: iPhone 7 with iOS 11.1) and the receiver device (example LG model xyz).

Unusable

Although sounds good on the surface. One is not even able to demo the thing without pop up after pop up after pop up requesting this or that at 5 seconds play per one. When it fails, and it does frequently the free version does not allow for return to previous play point on a video, it just starts video again! The tactic is to effectively a threatening money grab attempt. Rather than a good app that shows off its capacity and then provides greater flexibility with a purchase. I.e. "Look how good it works, buy the full version" this is a case of "doesn't work really at all, and know way of knowing if your pay, wether it will or not".....

Feedback to the developer- the stream fails if phone locks

For some reason, after some recent updates, the app starts to not work properly and content will freeze once you lock your device. This never happened before and, as feedback to the developer(s), I’d suggest possibly fixing that and bringing that feature back. This could be a issue only to older TVs but as it wasn’t an issue before, it would be nice to have that fixed.

The background mode actually very depends on the video website that you visit and the video that you try to cast. Some websites and videos require the app to stay opened to guarantee a playback without interruptions. We will try to improve this in the future updates.

Could you also send us the link(s) to the affected video(s) with the description of the issue to info@video-tv-cast.com? Then we can use these videos to reproduce the issue and fix it. Please also add information about the sender device (example: iPhone 7 with iOS 11.1) and the receiver device (example LG TV model xyz).
