Thank you for this fantastic free resource
I work in Early Years at nursery level (which is notoriously underfunded) with non-verbal children. This resource is fantastic because it allows quick creation of visual supports, First/Then boards, visual timetables etc., with high quality graphics. Please keep this free. There is so little available for families and most pre-school educators which is not locked behind a paywall. I’m recommending this widely. Thank you!

Brilliant app but not linked to an account

Unfortunately being able to share boards doesn't help me as I am using custom symbols :(
This app is wonderful. It is the only one I have found (and I have tried many) which does everything I want it to do (except one thing - I'll get to that). I've been using it to upload my own symbols and photos, and create now and next boards and schedules. I love that it reads out the words when you tap them. Lovely user interface, the app looks great and runs really smoothly, it has never crashed on me. There are loads of built in symbols too. My one gripe? Everything is stored locally. Nothing is linked to any kind of account with Twinkle or anywhere else. That's a significant problem (and why I have only given 4 stars) because it means that anything I do on one device I have to do all over again if using a different device. A phone upgrade means I now have to start all over again from scratch :( I'd love to hear if this is a feature being worked on, because I feel I need to look at alternative apps to find one that links to an account as I don't want to have to rebuild everything whenever I change device.

Updated response - The Twinkl Symbols for AAC app is currently undergoing redevelopment and is due for relaunch very soon. Within the new, updated version there will be an option to create backups to share between there different devices which may assist you with the difficulties that you are experiencing. Just to note that this will only be available on iOS initially. I hope that this gives you reassurance that we are taking on board customer feedback and that we are working behind the scenes to make the app as easy to use as possible. Hello! Many thanks for your lovely comments. We are so pleased that you are finding the app useful. With regards to your comments about information being stored to just one device, did you know that you can share resources between devices? All you have to do is find the resource that you would like to share and click on the 'Share' button. This will then display a share code which you will need to make a note of. On the second device click on the 'Use share code' button from the main menu page and type in the code which will bring up your resource for you! Hope that helps! Amazing for my autistic son!
Firstly this app is absolutely amazing especially if you have a child/children with autism or learning disabilities. This had helped us show him what’s happening in the day and saved us from so many meltdowns, and it’s free which is even more amazing! My only thing I’d like to change is if you could sign up/ log on to the app so that you could access the boards you need on different devices, such as school device too home device as we have too make the same boards continuously for different talking devices. But that is something I can live with.

Thanks so much for your feedback, we hope that since your feedback you found the board sharing feature we added to the app? This allows you to send a board to someone else for them to have their own copy (excluded any custom symbols, for privacy reasons!).
