No Russian or Chinese is a deal-breaker for a lot of people though, myself included.

Other observations: only grey theme actually fits the colour of the interface, has very white buttons though, would benefit from being more subtle; learning curve is steep but manageable; swipe to delete is still slower compared to pressing the backspace button, by the nature of motion; secondary keyboard with symbols and numbers would still benefit from having “show, chose and hide” gesture; that TW icon has no business on the keyboard, show the current language only; autocorrection still has to do some homework; there is a globe button in secondary keyboard, we already have one at the bottom; no £ on GB keyboard.

But overall, colour me interested, unusual approach and once learned - fairly intuitive, actually helps with mistypes, especially with big hands.

I've persevered with this for a couple of months, even paid for the pro version. I like the hexagonal layout, though it took me a while to learn it. But it's too deeply flawed; the autocorrect is lousy and doesn't learn your writing style, ignores obvious corrections, corrects random non-mistakes. The profanity filter can't be switched off and is annoying. No caps lock, accents only in selected languages. I've given up on this.

It didn’t take me long to become accustomed to the keyboard layout, I didn’t have an issue with that at all, although I’m not convinced it’s the optimal layout and would have reconfigured it to make the more frequently used letters closer to the central axis.

Lack of autocapitalisation of the simplest of proper nouns (e.g. ‘I’ or ‘Monday’) is just basic bad coding.

It takes too long for the autocorrect to ‘learn’ very common spelling errors forcing the user to use the annoying back swipe to delete and replace some or all of the letters (why is there no backspace button?).

The basic punctuation marks are fiddly to get to, the adjustment is ok after a while but generally just adds to the time it takes to type a simple message which sort of renders the whole concept pointless.

No access to Memojis that I could find. I do use them as many others do!

So all in all, it’s well intentioned but it’s not really ready at this stage. It needs a lot of user testing “in the wild” and updated with even the most simple functionality that is provided for in the standard keyboard.

Alas I’ve uninstalled but will keep an eye on it for future updates. If it ever does work and makes life easier, I’d consider reinstalling and paying for the pro version.
