Great and useful app

I’m so glad I came across this app.
Not only does it tell me the current conditions and recommendations to fly or not but it give a forecast too.
So far I’ve found it to be very accurate.
Try it for yourself, you will be as pleased as I am.

Well written app, although almost useless.

This app has lots of nice features, wind direction/speed/gusts/speed at different heights but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be very accurate.

You can have all the nice features under the sun but if the source information is inaccurate, the app is not a lot of use.

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been told by the app that it’s good to fly, with 7mph winds, to leave the house and see trees bent almost horizontal in the wind.

Dodgy Data

I suppose an app like this is only as good as the data it receives and it is way off most of the time. For instance, right now it says gusts of 28mph yet outside it is perhaps around 3-4mph and my weather station backs that up. If I went by the data in this app I would never fly as I am not kidding, the vast majority of the time it tells me it’s not safe to fly when it is clearly not the case - and then they want you to pay almost £30 a year subscription - having a laugh for what is in essence a weather app. There are free sources online for wind speed at various altitudes etc.
