UK ANPR (automatic number plate reader). Automatically reads European style license plates on the iPhone or iPad, no information is sent to the internet so no data connection is needed.
You can save plates in a PlateList.csv file that you can read and edit via iTune FileSharing.
The app will tell you if a license plate is in the PlateList.csv file by changing the colour of the decoded plate string.
The app has button to read black on white plates and white on black plate.
The issue with a text view being obscured by a navigation bar has been fixed.

OK your URL has to point to something more than a domain- either a trailing / or a script name followed by a '?'. The script will receive the number plate in its input Args. However the app just stops in Safari showing the returned HTML maybe it needs to return a link that would take you back to the app?
Nice clean simple app with many potential uses. One feature that would make my day would be the ability to set the app to 'auto take' photos on a user definable interval - ie, set for 10 seconds and every 10 seconds a shot is taken and the URL forwarded.
Probably not worth your trouble
Yes it reads the plate but just enters it into a site which frankly you could do yourself. Can't really see the point as the site is a paid service which gives you the most basic info. Oh, it didn't know what my car was!
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
