Description

UK ANPR (automatic number plate reader). Automatically reads European style license plates on the iPhone or iPad, no information is sent to the internet so no data connection is needed.
Plates are saved in a autoList.csv file that you can read and edit via file in 'finder'.
The app will also scan and record all license plates from a stream of passing cars. You can manually set the camera ISO, shutter-speed and focus to cope with faster moving vehicles. This data is stored in a file called autoList.csv and this can be used in point to point speed analysis.
All images are processed on the device, nothing is transmitted to the internet.

Upload problem

OK your URL has to point to something more than a domain- either a trailing / or a script name followed by a '?'. The script will receive the number plate in its input Args. However the app just stops in Safari showing the returned HTML maybe it needs to return a link that would take you back to the app?

Great

Nice clean simple app with many potential uses. One feature that would make my day would be the ability to set the app to 'auto take' photos on a user definable interval - ie, set for 10 seconds and every 10 seconds a shot is taken and the URL forwarded.

Probably not worth your trouble

Yes it reads the plate but just enters it into a site which frankly you could do yourself. Can't really see the point as the site is a paid service which gives you the most basic info. Oh, it didn't know what my car was!
