Description

UK Court Manager is an application to assist both Magistrates and Judges in court. It has the full set of Sentencing Council guidelines for Magistrates and Crown Courts. In addition, pronouncements (English and Welsh), disqualification calculations, fines calculation, overweight calculator etc. We think you will agree this is the premier app for Magistrates and Judges !

While the app will run on an iPhone, we do not recommend this as the small screen size makes it very hard to use. We recomment an iPad for court usage.

If you have any questions or issues please contact us at support@mobicourt.com

Excellent addition to sentencing guidelines

Although the app is a subscription it is well worth the reasonable cost. Features such as the extra tabs so you can have all your in use pages open at once without shuffling between them which is a distraction in court, and the pronouncements builder are invaluable. There is nothing worse than being distracted by the technology whilst in full public view in the bench. Justice may be being done but it’s not seen to be being done. I am now using this app all the time and have pronouncements applicable to the type of court I am in already locked in as favourites which (I hope) makes for a professional appearance.

Couldn’t get the app to work

UPDATE! I finally managed to contact the developer and they have been very helpful. I used the app earlier this week, for the first time and it ticks most of my boxes. My one (minor) criticism would be the fines pop up. If more than one fine is sentenced, the pop up gives a total and not a breakdown. Other than that, I think I’ll quickly get used to it.

PREVIOUS. I downloaded the app, paid the subscription and was unable to get past the initial purchase screen. A few hours later I tried again. My money was taken and then the app said ‘user cancelled’. So I had to cancel again, to avoid being charged again. There is no way to contact the company online. I attempted to email the one address I could find and it bounced back immediately. I’ve seen other magistrates use the app and would love to be able to, too. Looks like I’m stuck with the awful official app.

Superb app for Court users

Now that the fantastic Sentencing Guidelines app by Ambay Software is phasing out, the Sentencing Council’s own version has had to be used, but it is nowhere near user-friendly enough. Court Manager is, and it is a superb app for Court users, well worth the subscription. It is packed with features, and while I am still getting to know some of them, it is an extremely valuable app for easy access to the Sentencing Guidelines, finds calculator, etc etc. Highly recommended.
